Third Person POV
"Who the fuck are you?" Jimin startled awake, practically falling off of the couch he'd fallen asleep on.
He stood up quickly, seeing the man from last night in nothing but a towel.
His eyes roamed over the man's bare torso, taking in the scars and burn marks. He saw the faint outline of a knife mark around the mans throat and his knee was covered in scars, probably do to multiple surgeries.
"Who the fuck are you?" Taehyung repeated.
"We met last night." Jimin grumbled. "I brought you home since you were wasted."
"And you didn't leave?"
Rude. Jimin thought.
"S-sorry." Jimin said, chuckling awkwardly and scratching the back of his neck.
Taehyung rolled his eyes and walked out room, leaving Jimin alone.
Jimin looked around now that there was some light and spotted a book on the ground. He walked over and picked it up.
He flipped it open and his eyebrows furrowed.
It was that man, Taehyung.
He was smiling, looking exhausted in a dance studio. His hair was dyed a bright red, too.
Jimin glanced over at some of the others photos. Family members probably, all holding and hugging him.
All of them looked happy and had not a care in the world.
Jimin turned the page and his eyes widened.
Because staring back at him was picture Taehyung and Jungkook together, smiling and kissing. They looked like the perfect couple, a pair if teenagers in love.
"What are you doing?" Jimin whipped his head up, closing the book quickly.
"I just found it on the ground--"
"Put it down." Taehyung said flalty.
Jimin immediately complied. He set the book down back where he had found it and then followed the now fully dressed Taehyung into the kitchen."Why'd you leave me alone? I could've stolen something and ran."
"Do you see anything worth stealing?"
"I could've taken your photo album."
"I would've thanked you. I've been trying to get rid of it for years, but I just can't seem to throw it away myself."
"But it has your family in there."
"So?"
"Well..." Jimin waved his hand. "Well I guess you could always make new memories with them?"
"Nope."
"Bad terms?"
"Dead."
"O-oh." Jimin felt awkward. Taehyung stared at him with no emotion. To Jimin this man was just a walking shell. There was nothing in his eyes that showed happiness, not even of sadness.
The only look Jimin could see was the look a man who'd given up.
"How?"
"Murdered." Taehyung shrugged.
"Who?"
"Why are you asking?"
"I'm sorry, I'm being intrusive." Jimin had to remember that this wasn't an international and he couldn't be as straight forward.
Taehyung sighed and took a sip of the cheap coffee he'd been making up until that point. "I did, apparently." Taehyung muttered.
"W-what?"
"Yup."
"Did you?"
Taehyung shrugged. "What does it matter? That's what the courts said."
"W-what happened, if I may ask?"
"Met the love of my life, had my dreams about to come true, boyfriend was involved in shady shit, he left, his gang members came and did whatever they wanted to me and then made me watch them murder my family." Taehyung shrugged.
Jimin gaped. This man just told him very private information.
But Jimin could tell that the man didn't care anymore. He didn't care who knew, he didn't care what happened to him. He just didn't care.
"T-that's awful."
"My extended family filed a lawsuit against me and they won. I've been disowned from my own family for killing my parents and younger sister. I also found out that my parents had been borrowing money from loan sharks, which I now have to pay back and to top it all off, I lost my dream job."
"You--"
"A day before I was going to debut as an idol." Taehyung smiled ruefully. "The day before everything around me came crashing and burning to the ground and I had no one there to help me. My friends were disgusted by me and my family disowned me. Plus the so called love of my life packed up and ditched me because his ambitions were more important than me."
Jimin frowned. He was so going to kill Jungkook.
"W-well you're still alive, that's a good thing, right?"
"I'd be dead right now if I had a say in it. Most of the time I'm too drugged up really think straight and the other part I'm bleeding out in a tub. But my neighbors are being paid to watch me, so they check up on me a lot. So hence, I'm not dead yet."
"Oh..." If Jimin was uncomfortable before, he had no idea how he was feeling now.
If he were in Taehyung's shoes...
He would've given up, too.
