Two years later~
Taehyung was on top of the world.
He was touring around the world, bringing in millions for his company. He was singing, acting, touring, dancing, everything he could possibly do, everything he’d ever wanted to do.
But something was missing.
Ever since his debut, Taehyung could swear he’d see Jungkook at his concerts, in the stadium, standing at the back, but on the field, somewhere Taehyung could see amongst the screaming girls and guys.
But every time he saw those eyes, they were gone before he could blink.
And Taehyung needed more than just a glance.
He’d tried to go back to Jungkook, to where he lived, only to find that the man had moved.
He didn’t know where Jungkook was and the precious moments of free time the idol had he spent searching for him.
But it was all to no avail. He was never successful in his quest to find the man, always coming up empty handed and broken hearted once more. But he did what he could. He sang his heart out whenever he performed, he danced his soul away, he put his mind into every song.
Taehyung was the man to be. An idol that many looked up to. A model. An actor. An idol. The celebrity to be. He made so many friends, and he never thought he could be this happy.
He’d finally accomplished his dream. He was finally there.
Years of suffering, suicide attempts, giving up on life…
And he was now here.
Today was a special concert. A stadium, filled to the brim, 75,000 seats, all sold out. He could hardly believe it. It only seemed like yesterday he was waking up in his run down, shitty apartment, wondering if his neighbors would come and check on him or if he was free to cut his wrists.
Long gone was the painkillers, the anti depressants. Taehyung hadn’t taken a pill in so long and he felt free.
Staff were running around like a whirlwind, making sure everything went smoothly, that nothing went wrong. Taehyung had his makeup on, a stylist was messing with his hair, another fixing the sleeve on his coat.
Taehyung was scrolling through his feed, watching the many excited fans that were standing outside of the stadium, inside the stadium. He could hear the screaming from this room, deep below the stage and his heart swarmed with a warm feeling, knowing that those screams were all for him.
He placed his phone down when a manager came to shout that he had two minutes before he was set to start. Taehyung was ushered along the dark tunnels underneath the stage, ducking below the metal bars, grabbing his microphone, as one hadn’t been wrapped around his head like usual.
He straightened his jacket out and took in a deep breath, standing at the edge of the stairs leading up to the main stage. He could hear the screaming full volume now, not even the ear pieces, firmly resting in the crevices of his ears blocking the enthusiasm of his fans.
But it slowly faded.
Faded as the music began.
And Taehyung ascended the stairs.
Taehyung saw the flashing lights, the harsh lights on the stage and hands, reaching out for him. He smiled, holding the microphone to his mouth.
And sang.
He sang his heart out, starting the simple choreo for this particular song when he reached the center of the stage.
He felt the music flowing through his body, filling him to the brim. He let the music guide him, let his voice flow through the microphone and into the ears of his waiting fans.
