Cherray is bestfriends with the Ball brothers, they've known each other since kindergarten.
Her friendship with LaMelo is different tho, people often mistake them for a couple and little do they know they both don't mind it.
It's been a couple days and LiAngelo is still not allowed to leave China, he's not in jail anymore from what I know but he's stuck in his hotel room. Everyone is trying really hard to get him out of there.
Me and Darren went to my school the other day to talk about the Lorenzo situation, they told us to come back today since they have to sort some things out. I told them very clear that I'm not going to school until I know when he's coming and if he's even allowed to come near me since he has a restraining order. Lonzo has practice but Denise sometimes has the day off on thursday like today, so she came to school with me.
"Ah Cherray, miss Garcia come in" The principal, Mr Brooks says while before opening the door so we can walk into his office.
Me and Denise take a seat while he closes the door, he sits down in front of us and grabs a paper from his desk.
"Alright so, I got in contact with the police department and I explained them the situation. They told me Lorenzo is indeed allowed to get back on this school since he followed a program last year in order to get accepted into a normal school" Mr Brooks explains making my mouth drop.
I look at Denise for help who looks just as shook as I am, they can't be serious right now.
"This is ridiculous! That guy raped her and made her life a living hell, and you are telling me he can just walk into this school without any problems? That's not okay" Denise says angry.
"Can't you just refuse to let him back in here?" I asks desperate.
"No I'm afraid we can't do that b-" "What about the restraining order?! He can't even be in the same neighbourhood as me, how can he be allowed on the same school" I interrupt mr Brooks.
"Everyone is entitled to education, even Lorenzo. I know that what he did was very bad, but it has been 2,5 years. I'm pretty sure he learned his lesson, he went to juvenile detention for 1,5 year and followed a school program for 1 year to get where he's now, he would be stupid to try something again" Mr Brooks says.
"How can you say that? You don't know him, he's crazy!" I raise my voice while standing up.
"LaVar Ball won't be happy with this, because it makes absolutely no sense!" Denise states also getting up.
"Come on Chay" She pushes me to the door and opens it.
I stomp out of the office only to see O and Ejay in front of me.
"So Lorenzo is coming back to Chino Hills High School, how do you feel about that?" Steve asks.
"It's a disgrace, if it happens to their own daughter or sister they'll talk different" Lonzo says aggravated.
"I think it's ridiculous that they just let this happen like he did nothing, they're putting all those girls in danger because no one knows if he's changed" Denise responds, looking into the camera.
"What's gonna happen now? LaVar is still in China due Gelo's situation, so he can't do much" Steve says.
"I'm definitely not letting Cherray go to school, she has every right to be scared. Tomorrow it's the weekend so we hope Gelo is being released so they can all come back and help fix this problem" Lonzo tells.
