Baddest in town

Chapter 50

"Hey" I say as I'm approaching Aniyah, Leyahnna and Jamarkis who are sitting with some other people.

"Hey girl" Leyahnna responds.

I take a seat next to Jamarkis and Demarcus, he is a really nice guy but a little to flirty sometimes.

"Wassup shawty" Demarcus winks at me while putting his arm around my shoulder.

"Uh yeah let's not do that" I say and push his arm off me.

"How was Toronto? Did you see any fine ass niggas?" Aniyah asks me.

This girl is desperately waiting for someone to cuff her but everytime a guy shows interest in her, he ends up ditching her for another girl. She is a beautiful girl and she likes to meet new people unlike me, so I really don't understand how she is still single.

"I ain't lookin at boys" I chuckle.

"Bitch please, LaMelo ain't all that from what I see on instagram and the show. So don't tell me you never look at a guy and think, YES DADDY!" Jamaris says making me roll my eyes.

"First off, LaMelo IS all that to me. But yeah okay I've seen a couple guys there who definitely looked like a snack" I admit.

"I knew it"

"Anyways, Zo is throwing a mixtape release party and he said I could bring y'all with me" I say, changing the subject.

"NO WAY" Aniyah shouts causing people to give her a weird look.

"Is Kyle Kuzma gonna be there?" Leyahnna asks.

Oh she is obsessed with Kyle, I don't know why cause I've definitely seen better dudes out there. I'm not going to lie because I also had a lil fan girl moment but I've seen his high school pictures and that changed everything, that and he is more like a brother to me.

"Probably, Ion know for sure tho" I tell her.

"That place is gonna be packed with caramel and prolly chocolate snacks and I'm here for it" Jamarkis says making me laugh.

"You needa chill out, LaVar and Tina are gonna be there so don't make me look like a fool" I warn him.

"Oh by the way, if you come to practice with me today you can talk to the coach about joining the team" Leyahnna says.

She has been playing since she was 8 years old and she is good, very good. I texted her yesterday saying I wanna play basketball again and she immediately got excited, apparently most of the girls on the team aren't good at all but they all act like they are Maya Moore.

"Aight"

I look around to see two girls whispering and looking at me, I gave them a -wtf?- look.

"Are you really friends with Kyle Kuzma?" One of them speaks up.

I mentally roll my eyes, it's all fun and games meeting NBA players and shit but this right here is one of the reasons why it's also annoying. The people at Chino Hills High almost never came up to me with shit like this because most of them simply already knew Lonzo, LiAngelo and LaMelo, and it wasn't that big of a deal that I'm friends with them or others. At this school everyone tries to kiss my ass, hoping to get a meet and greet or something with one of the boys. And if they don't do that they will stare at me, not daring to speak up.

"Why do you want to know Lindsay?" Aniyah asks her with a straight face.

"Am I not allowed to ask her a question?" The girl whose name apparently is Lindsay says with sass.

"Nahh not really honey, only thing you and yo lil henchman want is NBA dick. But news flash, you ain't getting it" Jamarkis says.

Lindsay mean mugs him before turning away from us, I look at Jamarkis who starts to laugh.
