Shannon had watched the entire three hour video of Ron and Marissa getting married from two and half years ago. She was mad at herself for not confiding in Mego with her personal stuff. He was her brother she trusted him. As for the twins not so much. The twins had not been home since Shannon had returned. They were on a trip in California with a group of friends. She would just surprise them whenever she could.

Mego knocked on the open door to her room. "Can I come in?"

Shannon was just in deep thought about how to talk to Kim. "Yeah."

Mego stood in front of her while she sat on the bed. "This has to end, Shannon. I'm tired of reading and hearing about you. All those untrue things. You gotta come clean and out of hiding."

"The closet is fine with me. No one needs to know my personal story. Maybe it would make me happier and all that crap. No, Mego, it wouldn't. I'm a hermit when not robbing places just ask Drakken . . . No, I have not spoken to him either." Shannon shut the laptop she had and shook her head. "I just wanna do things in my own time."

"Just trying to help my sister out. I've missed you." Mego said and smiled awkwardly at her.

"Same. I'm sorry I've been silent all these years and torturing you and the twins."  Shannon honestly said to him.

Mego was about to walk away, but stopped himself to look at Shannon. "Wait a minute," He started, "You didn't add in Hego." He saw the uh-oh look in her eyes. "Shan, did you keep in touch with Hego all this time?"

Shannon felt awful. Her face squished into the answer. "Yes." She began, adding extra S's like a snake, "Look, I needed one person to keep in contact with and I chose him."

Mego felt hurt, but knew Hego was like her best friend too. "I get it, Shan. I just wish you trusted me just a little more."

Kim was searching the internet for possible sightings of any kind. Any signature Shego marks, clawed gloves or a leftover glow of any sort.

"You really should let her go." A warm voice said from behind.

"Mom," Kim said and looked back. "I can't do that. Not until I find a bone I will never stop looking for Shannon. She deserves a burial of some kind."

Her tired looking mother pulled up a chair. In the most loving way she could she said, "Sometimes there is no body to find. Maybe she got caught in the ocean or a fire somewhere."

Kim's stomach churned in horror. She also knew she could potentially be right. "I can't just give up on her. Maybe she would've given up on me, but I can't do that to her. There has to be some clue somewhere as to her last whereabouts. I can't let go until I know why or where she was all these years."

Ann squeezed Kim to her. "You're a really great person, Kimmie. I hope Shannon knows in her soul that you really cared for her."

Kim felt a guilty pang. "That's just it, mom, she didn't. That's why I've never given up."

"Loving someone is a rare and sometimes a difficult thing. And sometimes the best way to silently say it is to let them go." Ann felt tears sting her eyes and roll down her face. "I'll let you be. Please just consider what I said."

Kim hugged her then her mother left the room. She felt defeated and tired. All these years and nothing. She needed to talk to someone else. Shutting down her computer and gathering various things into a backpack she then set off for her friends place.
