It was three days later and Kim had a two page list of ideas for Shannon's memorial. She was getting dressed when someone rang the doorbell. It rang twice more before she could get to it to open it.
"Hey, Ron!" Kim said as he shut the door behind him. He was going to meet up with Hego with her at a resturant. She noticed his smile was bigger than usual.
Ron was excited and really wanted to share some news with her. "There's something I want to tell you! Marissa and I are going to be parents!" He said almost screaming it at Kim in joy.
Kim was shocked. She wasn't sure if she was going to cry or vomit. Holding her breath for a moment she took the news in. "Wow!" She finally said heavily. "That's," She paused then said, "Great for you and her."
Ron knew she was happy for him, but Marissa not-so-much. "It's the reason she's been all over the place lately. Hormones and lady stuff."
Kim wanted to laugh, but gritted her teeth and smiled. "Uh- huh." She went to give him a big hug.
Ron felt the hug was genuine, but knew her and Marissa were not anywhere near besties. "Kim, I'm sorry about everything I've said about Shannon. It's just been so freaking long and so many years have passed by."

"Let's talk about the baby. How far along is your wife?" Kim said, changing the subject.
Ron's face soured. "My gosh K.P. what's your deal? I apologized for all the things I've said lately and over the years too."
Kim's mood changed too. "I accept it, but I know what you think about Shannon."
The landline rang startling both of them. Kim let the answering machine pick it up. "Honey, it's mom! Give me a call when you can!"
"Marissa is seven weeks pregnant by the way." Ron started. "And yes I think Shannon is no good for you. Who you love is your choice though. I accept you as you are. I may not like it, but live your truth."
Kim was hurt. She began to cry.
"What now, Kim? Are you having women issues?"
Kim shook her head. "It's about what you just said! You don't like me being my true self, Ron! You'd rather I live a life with a guy and be a hetero."
Ron hated himself right now. "I'm so sorry! I didn't mean it like that. Love who you want to, Kim. I just don't get why it has to be Shego."

Kim snapped at him like a shark, "You know what get out. I wanted your support, but I'll be fine without it and you."
"Kim, please don't do this. I'm sorry!"
"Go cry me a damn river somewhere else!" Kim pushed him out the door and shut it in his face.
Ron said her name several times then gave up and walked away. He felt sort of happy that Shego was no longer alive. They would talk in a few days after she cooled off.
Kim reeled her feelings back in. Calming down, she knew she'd gone a bit far. She just didn't want to beg him to forgive her right this minute. She left to go and meet up with Hego.
Hego watched as Kim picked at her food. "Is something wrong?"
"I had a spat with Ron before coming over here. It'll be okay. What do you think of my ideas?" Kim asked, smiling a little.
Hego's own special device went off telling him there was trouble. "Crap! I've got to go! I'm sorry, Kim." She didn't even have time to utter a word as he ran off.
Kim noticed a twenty dollar bill on the table, "At least he was nice enough to leave this."

"So what's the emergency?" He asked his pacing sister.
"I have no idea what to wear or how to do this!" Shannon yelled out. "I'm just gonna go jump off the roof now."
Hego was so over her drama. "Just stay focused one the end game. You and Kim finally talking and maybe even falling in love."
Her voice softened, "I don't want maybe, Hego, I want forever." She went to her bed and sat sadly on it. "Even if I do tell, Kimmie, I know there is no guarantee she'll want me at all."
"It's the risk you gotta take, Shan." Mego said, standing in the doorway. "Stop waiting and just go tell her how you feel. Kim will take it to heart and consider it. And being honest with her is always a plus."
Shannon wasn't much for hugging, but she got up and went to give Mego a big hug. Hego held out his arms and she hugged him too. "Eh, don't even say I'm going soft!" She warned her brothers.
"You're not as "Evil," as you once were." Mego laughed.
Shannon went back to being in her perfect lonely circle. "I'll let that slide for now, bro."

Shannon walked into a light blue hallway and went a few door down and to her right. This commerical medical building was actually a step up from Drakken's other places. "What's the sitch?" Shego said casually walking into a room where Drakken was watching The Simpsons re-runs.
Drakken dropped his bowl of sour cream and onion chips and gawked at her. "You . . . you're alive!" He shouted in relief. "And why the heck are you using Possible's catch phrase?"
"Yeah, just because I can, Doc." Shannon smiled. "This doesn't look like a take-over-the-world kind of thing. Plus you've gained some pounds."
Draken was almost twenty pounds overweight now. "Err . . . yeah so what? I was miserable without my friend."
Shannon felt her heart jump. I still have one, she thought. "Let's go do something sinister."
Drakken now looked unhappy. "I've been binge watching my show."
"You can do that later. Let's . . . " Shannon stopped herself. "Watch something else." If Kim were to see her on t.v. for a crime that would be bad. She wanted to be in her good graces when they finally came face to face again.
Drakken was curious to her change of plans. "What's going on now?"
Shannon rolled her eyes. "I haven't told Kimmie that I'm alive."
