He's dead?

Zac's POV

"Hey, Hows she doing?" I ask Jade who's seated on the couch next to a sleeping Jessica. Jade and me, we've been taking turns, looking after Jess at the hospital.

According to the doctor, Jess should be fine to leave but she's been having episodes ever so often and hasn't been speaking to anyone in the past two days. So they felt it was safer to keep her here a little while longer where they can monitor her.

I personally feel this place will make her worse cause everything about this place is traumatizing in my eyes.

"She had another episode 15 minutes ago and so they sedated her again. I hate this Zac.... this is horrible... My sister's such a strong person, this shouldn't be happening to her." Jade says almost tearing up.

"Hey...Hey.. come here." I pull Jade into a comforting hug. "I know it's really hard for you to see her like that. It's hard for me too. I fell in love with her partly because of how strong she was but right now she's not and you're gonna have to be the strong one. Can you do that?" I ask her and she pulls away a little, looking at me in surprise.

"Yo...you love her?" She asks me in surprise and only then it hit me, nobody knew that besides Jessica. I didn't say anything, instead, I just looked down shyly.

"Wow! I had a feeling, but hearing you... Zac Steele, say he's in love, that's something else... Never felt more proud to be a Red. A Red managed to get Zac Steele to fall in love." She starts chuckling. Clearly, this piece of revelation just put her in a better mood.

"Okay, anyway, I spoke to Scooter."

"Who the heck is Scooter?" Jade asks me with a frown.

"Ummm... your sister's manager? Do you really not pay attention to anything?" I tease her.

"Sorry, I'm an extremely busy woman. So what did you guys talk about?" She asks, walking out of the room with me.

"I told him they need to postpone Jess's tour. They managed to push the dates but at this rate with what's going on with her, I felt they should just cancel it."

"Errr... Do you think Jess is gonna be okay with that though? I mean, she takes these tour stuff very seriously."

"I know, I was worried too but after speaking to Matt and Tiana, they felt it was best too."

"Now who's Matt?" She asks. I pinch the bridge of my nose trying to hold in my frustration "her publicist." I say as calmly as possible.

"But with this decision, we need to come up with a statement to give the public. At the moment, people think Jess just fell sick and that's why the tour dates are pushed. But if it's completely canceled, they'll want to know why." I tell her and she scratches her head nervously.

"That's not all Zac," She says, pulling me to a corner where no one could hear us. "What about the whole Jason thing? People still think they are together, She never told anyone they broke up and now he's "vanished". People will want answers." She says and she's absolutely right. I didn't think of that at all.

"Let me take care of that, while you think of why your sister's tour is getting canceled."

"Done. Now Alex is already downstairs to pick me up so I'm punching out." She says and heads back to the room to take her stuff.

About an hour of me sitting here and replying some work emails on my laptop, I hear a knock on the door. "Mr.Steele, you punched in?" Doctor Parker, Jess's doctor asks. "Hey, yea. That's how we do it." I say, letting out a little laugh.

"Hmmm.. You've been sitting here for a long time, She's not gonna be up anytime soon, why don't you come and join me for coffee?" She asks sweetly.
