Daniel leaned back on his chair, smiling. You tapped your foot, impatient. "We'll, I'm all ears." You growled. He chuckled and slicked his hair back, exhaling in a calm and smug manner. "Yes, yes, I know. Now, your parents were FBI agents, but they preferred a simple life away from all this." "Do you blame them?" You chimed in. "I suppose I can't, however, I don't see what they saw. Never the less, both of them were top notch agents, the best of their class and rank. However, they wanted to have you (Y/n), so they retired. They laid low, in hopes that we wouldn't find them." Your nose twitched, and your ears opened up. "What do you mean by that?" You hissed. He paused and observed your glaring eyes and rolled up lip, appearing to be enjoying it. "Every FBI agent is supposed to enroll their child into their work, that way, no secrets are exposed. In addition to that, they signed the contract with your name on it, meaning you're one of us now." You raised your eyebrow and scoffed. "I didn't sign it, so that means I'm not in it." You said. "Even so, your parents deprived you of your future and gave you this one. I am happy to say, welcome." "And I'm happy to say, bye!" You turned around to the door, but you met the barrel of a pistol as soon as you did. You stood in place, trying to act brave, seeing Greg's finger slide over the trigger. "I wouldn't leave so soon if I were you." Daniel slyly commented. You grunted and turned back around to him. "You see, your life is mine now and you can't do anything about it." "That's not right, I didn't have a say in this." You argued. "No one asks for power, miss (Y/n), but I can assure you this power will not go to waste." Daniel grabbed a remote and clicked the power button, turning on a huge flat screen TV behind him. (That TV is as big as my house! God, this guy as more money than he knows what to do with!) "I believe your familiar with this monster?" He pressed the play button and a video of Venom, leaping out of Eddie's old apartment window showed up on the screen. You held back a gasp, trying to act like you didn't know. "What is that thing?" You asked, pretending to be clueless. Daniel threw the remote down and sighed. "There is no point in hiding the truth, miss (Y/n). We already know your friend is behind this." The footage of Venom was far away, you could tell by how blurry it was and by the sound of him roaring. Even with the low-quality shot, there was enough visual evidence to prove it was Venom and that creatures like him exist. "My friend?" "Yes, Eddie Brock I believe. He merged with this monster, one from a lab, am I wrong?" You crossed your arms and didn't say a word. "But, of course, you must deny your knowledge to protect your friend." You shifted your weight and grunted. "Even so, we know the truth. You must bring this monster back to us within the next." Daniel looked at his watch and exhaled, puckering his lips. "Oh, I'd say...in the next day or so. If you succeed, I will let you live." "And if I don't, you'll kill me? Then what's stopping me?" You challenged. "My, my, you have an iron heart, just like your parents did. They would rather die than tell anything to the enemy." "Heh! The situation almost matches perfectly." You sneered. "I wouldn't hold your breath so soon." Daniel said, waving his finger. "After all, that's not what I'm going to do." "Huh?" You felt the barrel of the gun bump against your head and you gulped. "I have something more...motivating than your life." You doubt that he could have come up with anything to scare you, so you snickered. "Bring it." "Oh, feeling brave, are we? That smirk on your face is going to vanish once I tell you." Daniel grabbed the remote and changed the channel, showing a dark blue blob, one similar to Venom. "Huh? What is that thing?" (Is that another symbiote? Eddie and Venom never told me about there being more.) "This, my dear child, is another symbiote." Your heart skipped a beat when Daniel said that word, because that meant he did know what Venom was. "Symbiote?" You questioned. "Act naive all you want, that won't change a thing. This symbiote is contained in one of our top facility's, for now, it has a host." Your gulp grew sharp as your throat went dry. "So, what? What does this have to do with me?" You asked. "If you don't bring Eddie and his symbiote back to us, we will let this one loose...on you." You stopped breathing, your heart stopped beating everything stopped, freezing in place. You held your mouth and shook your head, hating the idea of it. When Eddie first had Venom, they normally fought over who would be in control. Eddie would cry some nights because he couldn't remember what happened when Venom took over him. Even when you tried to explain everything to him, it didn't make things better. You secretly feared Venom being inside you, hence why you never let him. You didn't want to go through what Eddie went through. Daniel smirked, standing up, walking over to you. "And don't even think about telling Eddie about this, because we'll be watching you." He grinned, leaning into your ear and held your shoulder. "Do we have a deal?" He whispered, sending shivers down your spine. You slowly nodded, and Daniel retracted his head, smiling. "Good! Go now, go find Eddie and bring him back!" Greg took you by the arm and dragged you outside, closing the door behind him. "Ok, go get him and bring him back to his original apartment, we'll catch him there." Greg raised his hand and bashed the edge of your head with his gun, sending pain throughout your head. You fell to the ground, feeling your head go blank. "Remember what I just said, (Y/n)." You slowly lost consciousness and passed out, seeing a swirling black void replace what you once knew.
