You batted your eyes open, dazed. You blinked your eyes open to Eddie, having his face against yours. Out of total shock, you froze, not breathing. (What the hell!?) You were about to tap Eddie awake, but you remembered that Venom was helping you keep warm last night. He must have reverted back to Eddie when he fell asleep. You sighed, feeling Eddie's arms wrapped around you. (Ugh...did Venom or Eddie hold me like this? I don't care who it is, I want out of this hold!) You blushed uncontrollably and tried to slip out of Eddie's arms. Eddie only grunted, holding your closer, making it harder for you to get out. Eddie crushed you under his grip, surprising you to say the least. Could Eddie really have gotten this strong over the years? You knew back then he wasn't that strong, heck, you could throw him around like a rag doll. Eddie didn't weigh a lot either when he was younger, but you could pick him up and throw him around. It was funny to you, but not to Eddie. Even so, you kept your strength over the years, keeping up with your work outs. This was only because there were creeps in New York, and Eddie offered to work out with you. He didn't want anything to happen to you, mainly because you were the only thing he had left. Eddie doesn't see his parents anymore and you didn't want to ask if they were still alive either. You wanted to get out of Eddie's grip, but how could you do that? You slightly pushed against Eddie's chest, trying to brake his arms off you. Eddie groaned, mumbling to himself in his sleep, dragging you back to his chest. You could feel his abs and rock-hard body, something you would have never thought the Eddie you knew had. It was surprising, he really has changed. Eddie's arms were practically made of muscle, not that you minded seeing that. Even so, you just wanted to get up and tell Mr. Lee you had someone he wanted to see. You set your head against Eddie's, pouting. (This is becoming a bigger problem than being cold.) You saw something slither up Eddie's shirt, it was black and slimy, and you frowned. "Venom?" You whispered. "Hmm?" He poked his head out of Eddie's sleeve and you giggled, not expecting to see a little black head poke out of Eddie's shirt sleeve. "A little help?" You asked, pointing to Eddie. "Sure." Venom bit Eddie's arm and Eddie yelped, getting up. "Ow! Dang it Venom!" Eddie moaned, opening his eyes to you. He paused, letting his cheeks burn red, and he looked over your body. "Ugh...what happened?" He asked. "I was cold." You said, pushing your blushing face away from him. You rolled out of bed and stood up, brushing yourself off. "Mr. Lee would probably like to see you again, I'll go tell him." You left, and Eddie groaned, letting everything sink in. "What the...?" "Sinking in yet?" Venom asked, wrapping his head around Eddie's shoulder. "So, you used my body to keep her warm?" "Our body, and yes, I did. She was cold, her body temperature was lower than it should have been." Venom said. "But it was only eighty degrees outside, how could she have been cold?" Eddie asked, slicking his hair back. "I don't know, she is different." Venom stated. You walked down stairs, to Mr. Lee cleaning the counter. "Ah, morning (Y/n)! I hope I didn't wake you up by making coffee!" He smiled. "Of course not, I have something to tell you though." You began. Mr. Lee paused and walked over to you, crossing his arms. "Could it perhaps be about that huge black monster I saw in your bed last night?" You held your breath and felt your heart sink below your feet. Your body drained of color and you shifted your weight uncomfortably. "Ugh...no, you must have been seeing things, Mr. Lee." You lied, blowing him off. He smirked and chuckled. "You can't blind side this old man, (Y/n)." He rubbed his neck and adjusted his glasses. "I might be blind, but I know what I saw last night and that wasn't anything ordinary." You started to sweat, trying to come up with an excuse. "Yeah, about that, I-" "-You don't need to explain yourself, the monster let Eddie have control of his body again and I let him stay. So, that is your type?" He snickered, walking back behind the counter. "Not funny." You said very slow, braking up the words on purpose, blushing. "Hehe! Of course not! I'm only teasing! However, the black monster is a very nice thing, he let Eddie have his body back as soon as I asked him why he was here." "He did?" "(Y/n), nothing fazes me anymore because my grim reaper will come soon. You know that as much as I do." You twisted your foot and sighed, not wanting to admit it was true. "Morning!" Eddie walked down, smiling, and started to hug you. "Gah! Eddie!" You bopped him on the head, and he groaned pulling away from you. "Ow!" He whined, rubbing his head. "Eddie! Oh, boy, oh boy! You two...have really grown up!" Mr. Lee sniffled, starting to cry. "Geez, Mr. Lee, pull yourself together." Eddie groaned, making Mr. Lee stop. "Oh, you haven't lost your arrogance to your elders I see." Mr. Lee frowned, causing Eddie to laugh. "Nope! You're a cool old man!" Eddie snickered, pointing at him with his two fingers. Mr. Lee couldn't keep a straight face and laughed, walking back to you. "Oh, Eddie, its good to see you again!" He patted him on the back, and he chuckled. "Good to see you to sir." "Now, let's go eat! I bet the both of you are famished!" He walked upstairs, and you followed him with Eddie right behind you. "I like this man, he is nice." Venom said, poking his head out. "Shut up! Hide!" Eddie shoved Venom back into his shirt and you walked into an open kitchen. The kitchen was spotless, with the checkered tiled floors. Mr. Lee never did change the floor in here, and you can't blame him really. The walls were also checkered, but they had little gems in them. The gems were jades, Mr. Lee's daughter loved the color green. She would go around the whole kitchen and glue them on. Ever since then, Mr. Lee has kept that tradition alive. You saw an open table, with a little flower pot in the middle. The one flower was a rose, the other was a sunflower, and the last one was a daisy. They represented his family. Mr. Lee was the sunflower, always growing. The rose was his daughter, for her beauty, and Mr. Lee's wife was the daisy, because that was her name. "Come, come, sit down!" Mr. Lee happily said. You sat on the far side of the table, sitting towards the window. Eddie sat across from you, having his hands folded on top of the table. There was a chair on the end of the table where Mr. Lee would sit. Venom made himself come out of Eddie's hand and Eddie growled, smacking him down. "No!" Venom retreated back into Eddie's body and he growled. <You're no fun.> <You need to stop having fun!> Eddie shot back. Mr. Lee glanced over his shoulder and snickered at Eddie. "Having a hard time controlling it?" Eddie froze, looking at you for guidance. "He knows." You said. Eddie slowly nodded and turned around to Mr. Lee. "And ugh...how might you know?" "I saw it last night, it was helping your girlified keep warm." You and Eddie both gasped, looked at each other, and then back at Mr. Lee. "We're just friends!" You blurted. "She's not my girlfriend!" Eddie blurted. "Oh, ho! You two are still quite the pair!" He laughed to himself causing you and Eddie to blush. "I told you he knew us." Venom said, coming out onto Eddie's shoulder. "That's because you screw around to much!" Eddie scolded him. "Perhaps, or its your carelessness for not giving your dog his bone." Venom snickered, looking back at the bacon in the fryer. "Bacon? What a foul-tasting specimen." Venom stuck his tongue out and groaned. "Be good, he doesn't have to do this." Eddie warned. "And besides, you need to be good because you're an uninvited guest." You added. "Hmph! Whatever..." Mr. Lee set your plates down in front of you and Venom hesitated to eat. Mr. Lee gave you and Eddie a fork and he sat down, observing Venom. "My, my, what an odd creature you have there." He said in awe. Eddie plopped a piece of hash brown in his mouth and shrugged. "Yeah, I guess." Eddie said. Venom looked down at the hash brown and picked it up, eating it. "These are great!" Venom devoured his hash brown and Eddie sighed. "Interesting...so is this why that FBI agent is after you and Eddie?" Mr. Lee asked. "Most likely, they want me." Venom said, licking his lips clean. "I see, so its because of you. I can only imagine what that Greg Smith character will do to get you two." Venom snickered and made a gargling noise, indicating he was confident in himself. "Heh! They don't stand a chance against me, old man." Venom said, sounding cocky. "Even so, you have Eddie and (Y/n) to worry about, not just yourself." Mr. Lee said. Venom grunted at Mr. Lee's ignorance, but he just nodded. Eddie ate the bacon and Venom stuck his tongue out in disgust. You had eaten everything and leaned on the table, before realizing that was rude and you pulled yourself up. Mr. Lee noticed your hesitation and laughed. "Its ok, this is a place you should feel comfortable in. Relax, I insist." Mr. Lee said. You nodded but didn't move. "So, what is our next course of action, Eddie?" Venom asked. "For now, we should stay low and keep quiet." Eddie said, dropping his fork on the plate. "Low and away from Mr. Lee. I don't want anything happening to him, not to mention after he claimed to be my father." You said. "I agree, we should leave as soon as we can." Eddie looked over to Mr. Lee and smiled. "Sorry, sir." Mr. Lee shook his head and grinned. "Come on! Stay a little bit longer! I barley see my daughter anymore! I grow lonely being here all the time." "Mr. Lee, we care more about your safety. If I stay here, you're going to die." Eddie said. "No need to rush into it." Venom added. "Venom!" You hissed, pounding your fist into the table. All the plates and silver ware jumped, causing Venom to cringe. "Sorry." Venom quickly apologized. "I suppose you're right, but why not leave at night? That way, you might be able to get away unspotted." Mr. Lee suggested. "That would make sense." Eddie said, thinking it over. "Ok, but until night." You said. "Oh, good!" Mr. Lee's wrinkled face pulled up in joy and you giggled. "In the meantime, what do you need help with around here? Anything we can help with?" Eddie asked. "Hmm...not that I know of." Mr. Lee said. You shook your head and frowned, not going to take no for an answer. "There has to be something we can do for you, after all, you let all three of us stay here for the night...well, at least one of us." You said, seeing Eddie avoid your glare. "Well...the electricity has been bad for a while now." Mr. Lee said. "Then it's settled." Venom yanked Eddie up to his feet and he growled. "Really Venom?" "Come Eddie, no time for small chat." Venom walked Eddie to the electric box, near the stair case and started to work on it. (Neither him or Eddie know how to fix anything involving electricity.) You thought, rolling your eyes. "While they're doing that, care to join me down stairs for some coffee?" Mr. Lee asked. "Sure." You smiled.
