Vanquish was in his cell, like any other day. The harsh and concocted chemicals were being blown out to him in high tech capsules full of it. Vanquish thrashed around, not being used to these new chemicals. Daniel stood in the background, pulling all the strings. His assistant increased the reactivity and Vanquish hissed to the new chemicals now being created through chemical reactions. Daniel chuckled and waved his hand, causing the power and chemicals to slow down. Vanquish exhaled in relief, finally being able to catch his breath. "Leave him be for now...I have more important things to attend to." Daniel turned his back to Vanquish and an agent burst through the door, out of breath. "Sir! This is urgent!" He exclaimed through every breath. "What? Can't you see I'm busy?" He asked, tightening his tie. "B-but sir! It's Eddie Brock! He's here!" Daniel's eyes shot open and he held his chin, thinking. "Why the hell would he come here...and how the hell did he know?" Vanquish tilted his head, repeating the words "Eddie Brock" in his head. "He had one of our agents tell him." "I see...let him in." The agent nodded and Vanquish raised his head in interest. Daniel looked over his shoulder to see Vanquish and grinned. "Don't worry, I won't forget you." Daniel crossed his arms and closed his eyes, thinking. "Out of all times and ways this could be done..." Daniel trailed off and thought to himself. The doors slid open and Eddie stepped in with his hands in his pockets. Eddie looked at Daniel up and down, not really seeing much of a threat to him. "Ah, you must be Eddie Brock!" Daniel smiled. "And you must be that dick head who's been sending agents after (Y/n)." Eddie countered. Daniel snickered and nodded. "The one and only, I will assume (Y/n) told you my name?" "Who gives a damn?" Eddie growled. "Oh? The feisty type I see." Eddie snickered and rolled his neck. "You're going to see a lot more if you even think about hurting (Y/n)." He growled. "Not at all, you're the one I want." Daniel walked to the doors and opened it, smiling as he waited. "After you." Eddie scoffed and walked away with Daniel, leaving Vanquish alone with the assistant. The young boy fiddled with his pen, not really knowing what to do now. Daniel took Eddie to a containment room, where he shut the door, with Eddie inside of it. Eddie glanced at Daniel through the glass window and growled. "Well then, I think you know what I intend to do to you?" Venom flinched and Eddie's eyes darted from Daniel to the door, knowing there was no escape. "Heh! Do your worst, bastard." Eddie said, confident in himself and Venom. "Heh, as you wish." The young boy balanced the pen in between his lips and nose, making it move. Vanquish sighed, not understanding the young boy. A sudden scream and screech of pain pierced through the boy's ears and he jumped, dropping the pen. "W-what is that!?" He stammered. The screaming continued, sometimes shrill and sometimes in absolute pain. The screams of pain continued for long periods of times. Sometimes they would stop and then pick up in under a minute and sometimes the screaming would never end. The boy's anxiety was getting to him, causing him to question his own position. The boy licked his dry lips and looked at Vanquish. He gulped and brushed his hair back with his shaky hand. "Geez...whatever the heck you are, Daniel sure wants you." Vanquish ignored the boy and slithered into a corner, resting himself down. "If only I could figure you out." Vanquish rested his head up against the wall and tried to sleep. This repetition of events dragged on for days, which is why Eddie and Venom were exhausted from all the tests. The testing never stopped for Eddie, Venom, or Vanquish. They all suffered and pulled through each test, with long lasting wounds. After a few days, not too far from Daniel's hideout, you were walking down the sidewalk. You had your hood over your head and your hands in your pocket. You were baiting the agent that was following you, making sure he was on your trail. You stopped and looked back behind you, seeing a man in a black suit from a distance. You snickered and rolled your eyes, entering a back alley. The man cluelessly followed you and walked to a dead end. He scratched his head in confusion. "Where did she go?" You lurked behind a dumpster and peeked out, seeing him. You jumped out from behind the dumpster and tackled the man to the floor. He squirmed under your weight, but you had the upper hand on him. You pressed your foot down on his back and quickly took his gun out, seeing a suppresser conveniently attached to the barrel. You pressed the barrel of the gun up to the agent's head and he froze. "Long time no see, Greg. I was worried you weren't doing your job." Greg growled and thrashed around, but you dug your heel into his spine, causing him to groan in pain. "Now, tell me how to find Daniel." You growled. "Heh! Why would I want to tell you? You're just going to kill me anyway." You paused and gave him a straight face. "Don't act like you don't fear death, I know everyone does. Now, shut up and tell, you fucker." You hissed. "I won't tell you shit!" He growled. You tapped the gun against his head, and he growled. "Damn you, bastard!" You waited, sensing he was about to cave in. It was easy to read emotions for you, it wasn't that hard in your opinion. Reading emotions and manipulating them to your advantage is also easy for you to do. You were simply manipulating Greg into telling you where Daniel was. He clenched his teeth down and you waited, knowing that you couldn't kill him. "Gurgh! Urgh god damn you fine! Daniel is in a tall building, one that looks nice on the outside but looks like hell on the inside." You bucked the gun against his head, and he cringed. "I already know how it looks, tell me where it is." Greg growled and spit on the ground, not able to swallow. "Fine! Down the street, right around the corner!" You shot one bullet into his head and saw his vison destabilize. The shot was muffled with the suppresser on the gun, so the sound was nothing to worry about. You picked up his body and threw it in the dumpster, putting the gun in your pocket. "Idiot." You sneered. You walked around the block and encountered the building, like Greg described was tall. You tilted your head and exhaled, slowly walking to the building. You could feel an ominous presence and you knew this was it. You knew going through the front would be bad, your best way of entering would be through the back. You walked around the back and saw the swat van, making a big grin form across your face. "Good, I'm getting closer." You ran past the swat van and rolled inside the little entrance through the garage door, that was cracked open. You were on all fours, expecting to be shot down on the spot, but it never happened. You stood up and looked around the faintly lit room, not seeing any movement. There were glass cells, prisons if you will, all along the walls. It extended on for miles, like an endless labyrinth. You started to walk down the hallway, knowing Eddie and Venom had to be in one of these cells. Your shoes made a clicking sound on the steel floor, creating a hollow echo down the hall. It was uncomfortable to be alone in a place like this, not to mention with this much silence. The air was calm, like nothing bad was created or held here. Of course, you knew that wasn't true, but the air was different from last time. The last time it felt hostile and disturbing, here, the air was calm and peaceful. It was almost too quiet in here. A sudden movement caught your eye, turning your head to your right. You saw a heavy steel door with an eye view window at the top. A human head was moving inside, but you couldn't hear them through the thick door. You took out your gun, reaching your hand out to open the door. You set your finger tips on the cold metal door and inhaled. You pushed the door open and kneeled, holding the gun up to a young boy in a lab coat. He was shocked to say the least, he froze and put his hands up in a flash. "Who are you!?" The boy screamed. "That doesn't matter!" You growled. You say a little blob of slime move up the wall behind the boy. You leaned your head to the side, getting a better look at it. The blob slithered to the center of the cell and sat there, like it was waiting. You looked at the boy and then the slime, identifying it as a symbiote. You stood up, still holding the gun to the boy's head and walked to the cell. "So, this is Daniel's grand master piece?" "What?" The boy quivered. (This is the symbiote I saw...the dark blue one...but it looks harmless. I guess all symbiotes look like that without a host.) "L-look, I'm just a part time here! I don't really work here!" You starred at the symbiote and it starred back, both of you feeling a close connection with one another. You exhaled and the symbiote extended itself over to you, crawling up the cell glass wall to become level with your face. You were in awe, not even feeling this deep of a connection with Eddie. The boy glanced over at the alarm button and glanced back at you. Before he could take one more step, you popped his head full of lead and let your arm dangle at your side. The boy dropped to the ground, dead and you snickered. You tilted your head and the symbiote did the same. "You and me..." You began, tilting your head to the other side. "We're the same, huh?" The symbiote curled itself in and dropped on the floor, crawling over to the other side of the cell. "You've been tortured by Daniel to, right?" The symbiote looked over at you and then the control table. It trailed itself down the side of the wall, telling you to go to it. You snickered and walked around to the control pad. "We both know what it's like to feel useless and weak..." The symbiote pounded the cell wall, pointing to the green button. You saw the glowing green button with the word "open" on it. You eye balled the symbiote and crossed your arms. "What? You plan to bond with that dead body?" The symbiote thrashed around in response and you sighed. "Even if you do, would the body still function?" You tilted your head and made a fist. You pounded the button down with your fist and the doors made a buzzing sound. The doors slid open and the symbiote crawled out, observing the new surroundings. You gulped, trying to not over react because you didn't know if it could smell fear. The symbiote turned its head to you, tilting it. You starred back and shifted your weight to the side. The symbiote approached your leg and you stepped back, letting out a sharp gasp. "No, no, I'm not your host." The symbiote seemed to frown, not amused by your cowardly approach to it. He crawled over to the boy's body and entered it, lifting the dead body up. You cringed, not used to seeing a symbiote resurrect the dead. The symbiote turned the boy's head around, with his eyes a solid dark blue color. The boy's mouth was still dripping blood and the head wound didn't heal. The boy wasn't in control and you knew that. "You...saved me...why?" He asked. "You want Daniel dead, right?" The symbiote made the boy's mouth become his, grinning with a mouth full of fangs. "Of course, he has caused us thousands of pains." You nodded and inserted another bullet into the gun. "Ok, lets go." You said. The symbiote grabbed your arm and held you tightly. "Fear courses through your veins..." He paused and you went numb. "You fear us inside of you..." He stated, causing you to flinch. He snickered with his smile fading. You felt a sudden jolt of pain in your arm and you starred at the boy's body, falling over, dead. You gasped, feeling adrenaline pump through your veins with an unknown visitor. You saw a dark blue streak of blood shoot into your arm and fade. "No...no!" You dropped your gun and curled into a ball on the floor. You covered your ears and cried, feeling like your heart could pop out of your body. "No...get out of me! Get out!" You cried, scared to death. This was it, your true fear. Except this isn't how you envisioned it. You trusted Venom a lot more than some random symbiote, for all you know wanted you dead. You heard a small voice inside of you and you screamed in tears. Your heart beat was so loud and fast that you could barely hear yourself. You just wanted it to end, even if that meant dying. "Please! Make it stop!" You squeezed your ears and screamed, and a long dark blue arm reached out of your back and cupped your mouth. <Shut it! Do you really want me to kill you!?> You froze, knowing how he was talking to you. Venom and Eddie have told you various times how it works. A symbiote is bonded to your body and mind and because of this, they have access to controlling your body and can talk to you through your mind. This symbiote was not hesitating to use anything at his disposal it seemed. You let a tear slip off your eye lid and you felt him grin inside of you. <We're a team...we both want to kill Daniel. I will help you save your friends and you will help me escape. Do we have a deal?> You knew making a deal with the devil was bad, not to mention twice in one month. You knew without him, you wouldn't be able to beat Daniel. Hell, you were lucky to get this far. If it weren't for your quick wits and aggressive personality, you would have been dead by now. The symbiote let go of your mouth and you exhaled. "Deal." You said. The symbiote came out of your shoulder and grinned. "You have made a fine deal, miss (Y/n)." You stood up and flexed your fingers. "Help me get my friends out and promise me power." Your eyes glistened with the color white and then it faded. You grinned and your new symbiote nodded. "With pleasure. We are Vanquish." You looked at him and nodded, quickly adjusting to him being in your body. "Yes...we are Vanquish." You grinned. (I will save you both, don't worry...after all, we are Venom...)
