Liquorice woke up to a pale moon hitting her room with pure white light. She felt another presence, so she looked around and there he was.

He sat on a chair at the foot of her bed, staring blankly at the window. He could sense that she was awake and glanced to her and then back to the moonlit sky.

"It is a beautiful night." He says, his voice ringing through the room. "It would be a shame to spend it sleeping."

Liquorice sat upright, looking at the window for a split second. She looked back to John, unamused.

"Would be a shame to spend it with you." Says she, falling back onto the bed with her covers on top of her.

This action made him stand, and he took the few steps to stand beside her.

"Will you come with me?" He extended an arm to her, his free hand tracing the hem of his coat. He talked in a softer way, his soft blue eyes bathed in the pale light coming from the windows.

"I'm sleeping." She replies, shifting her body to face the wall side. Her bed frame creaked, annoying her as she did so.

She could hear him sigh from behind her, the sigh quickly blending into the quiet air around them. She wanted to kiss him on the spot, but she was being mad at him. Liquorice couldn't swallow her pride to look at the near 6 foot man.

"Goodnight then." He says in a sing-song voice that soon was followed by footprints disappearing into the hallways.

"Wait!" She sat up and twisted her body so she could stand up. John stopped in his tracks, trying to hide a smirk. "I'll come with you, even if I don't enjoy it."

He was facing her, watching as she pulled on her shoes. She had a light white dress on that reached to her feet. She was pure, bathed in moonlight and sleep washing her soft features. John admired her not so discreetly, showing her that he liked what he saw.

When she was ready to leave, John was already by the door waiting for her.

"L." Faith breathes out, seeing the tall woman enter the room in grace.

Liquorice smiles at Faith's cute reaction.

"I love you." Faith grabs Liquorice's hand gently, stopping her from walking out the door completely. Faith pulls her into a tight hug, clinging onto the woman if it was her life.

Liquorice wraps her arms around the small woman, smiling into her hair.

After a few more minutes of being in an embrace, Faith pulls away gently.

"I love you, F."

The night was foggy, but the two sat in the fog listening to the chirping sounds of the night bugs.

They sat in silence, as two of them didn't know what to say to the other. They didn't have the ability to form sentences in this moment.

They just sat together, not minding the silent air as they took in the foggy landscape. The water a few feet from them quietly moving.

After a few more minutes of this, Liquorice finally speaks.

"I love this."

John turns her, watching from an angle as his head was a little angled. He paused to think about the response, making sure not to upset the girl.

"I do enjoy this a bit more than I had planned."

Liquorice leans back onto her arms, watching the moon make the air around them seem as if it were glowing.

"Before you say some bullcrap about you not showing up, I'm over it already." Liquorice shrugs, moving her body a little to face John.

"You're not mad?"

She shakes her head. "Holding a grudge is too hard."

Liquorice's mind flashes to images of Dylan Browne, his crooked smile forever imprinted into her memories.

"Anyways you should've seen my outfit." She interrupts her thoughts, not wanting to think about Dylan and ruin this moment. "I looked cute."

"You are cute in general." John responds from beside her, looking elsewhere but her brown eyes.

Liquorice smiles at herself at the thought of him. He was adorable.
