Chapter 11

*Bethany's POV*

"Ummm... That's a tuff question to be honest." I say. My dad stood up and said "Beth are you kidding me?!"

"What do you mean?" I ask. "You can't stay a turtle for the rest of your life." My father yelled. Like he always did. "Doug calm down." Mom said and he pushed her hand of his arm and said "yes Donatello. She wants the retro mutagen."

"No I don't!" I say out of frustration. "Bethany Grace That's not how you talk to your father."

"And that's not the way to talk to your daughter Douglas!" I said clutching my hand into a fist. "Beth calm down." Mikey said as he puts a hand on my shell. "Get your hands of my daughter." My dad says.

Mikey takes one big step back. "Ummm... Well leave. Beth you know where the lair is." Leo said and he walks to the fire escape. "Come on guys." And Mikey and Donnie run out the window. Raph stays where he is. "Are you coming?" Mikey asked. "I'll stay behind." Raph said. I looked at him amazed. "Raphael. I don't want you to get hurt. Please leave." My mother says. "not without my friend." He says looking my dad in the eye.

"Well" my mom starts "she has my permission to be a turtle. I love turtle Beth just as much as human Beth."

"Well she doesn't have mine" my father says just starring into Raphs emerald green eyes. "Dad. I'll be fine." I say tugging his arm. "No you won't!" My dad says. "Let her go Doug. It's her life. She can do what ever she wants too do with it." My mon says. "Come on. Let's get some of your stuff."

As I follow I feel Raphs hand on my shoulder. I look at him and he gives me a thumbs up. Maybe to say good choice or something like that.

After we get all my stuff packed my mom gives me my cat Sassy and kisses the top of my head. "Stay safe." Mom says.

"I'll do my best." I say smiling. She gives me my suit cace with my laptop, devise chargers and my big stuffed dog Kaluha that survived the fire, and a couple other things."

"CJ! Want to say bye to Beth?" My mom yells into the other room. "One seconded!" My brother says. In about thirty seconds later my brother comes in with my black bear hamster in his hands. "HUNTER! He's alive!" I say. I hold him in my hands and give him a small hug. Then I think. How will I take care of a hamster without proper supplies. I give him back and say "take him. To remember me by."

"Really? Thank you Beth!" He says and he gives me a big hug. "I'll take great care of him." He says. Then he runs off.

My mom walks to the room my dad was in and asked if he wanted to say good bye. My mom walks to me and said "your dad says bye. This is from dad as well." Then she gives me a hug. "I'll miss you little goof ball."

"You gave birth to this goof ball so you are the big goof ball." I say and she laughs.

I grab sassy and we start walking home.

"I can't believe that your dad didn't want to say good bye to you." Raph says as we walk though the sewers. "I can't either. He always says good bye when I was on a trip with my friends." I say.

"Maybe he knows that they may never see you again." Raph says. "Yeah. Maybe." I mumble. "And I can't believe you chose to be a mutant. I always wanted to be a human. Even for a day, a hour, even a minute! It always seemed awesome." Raph says. "Believe me. It's not as cool as you may think." I said. "You can be bullied, lose a parent, and even more that I shouldn't even say. It fucking sucks. That's the main reason I chose to stay this way."

Raph looks at me and then screams. "What!?!" I say thinking it was a emergency. "roach!" Raph says and I couldn't help but laugh. "Oh come here." I say as I pick the roach off my head. "It won't hurt you if you don't hurt it." I put the poor bug down and it runs away. "Not even a thank you?" I say and turn to Raph who looked disgusted. "HA! You look like me when I first saw Mikey eat pizza."

When we got to the lair I watch sassy walk right up to Leo and sniff his foot. "Hello little kitty. Who do you belong to?" Leo says as he pets her head. "Her owner would be me." I say as I walk over to him. "Cute isn't she?" I ask. "Very. And she had no problem being around us?" Leo asked. "Nope. She loves people. Or in this cace turtles." I say and we both laugh a little.

I walked into my room and it was all ready with a desk and a bed. "Well, it's better then my old room in Michigan I guess." I say to my self trying to make the situation better then it may seem. I open my suit cace and pull out my laptop and it's charger.

"Knock, knock." April says and walks in with a purple blanket and a green pillow. "Thanks April!" I say as she puts the stuff on the bed. "That's not all." She says and she walks out the door, grabs a silver cace and brings it in."A house warming gift. My father got me these and I never even used them. I'm not a artist. But you are so you could use these."

"April you didn't have to." I said. "Your my friend and I don't need these anyway. There yours." I just stare at the cace with a big smile on my face. "Well. what are you waiting for? Open it!"

"Alright." I said as I open the latches. I open the cace and I see what I've been asking my parents for ever senesce I saw them in a magazine. There the best anime markers that are made in japan. Copics. And right there in front of me was the whole set. "April. This is the best thing that I've ever gotten."

"Better then that kiss you stole from Raph?" She asked teasingly. "Where are you going with that?" I asked as I closed the door, just to make sure no one hears are conversation. "Did you like that kiss?" April said with a smile. "Maybe I did, maybe I didn't. You may never know." I say. Trying not to blush. "Come on. You can tell me."

"Not telling." I say with a smile. "At least tell me why you did it." She says with her hands together. "Fine. I was up agents a tree, are faces were 4-3 inches apart, what would of done?"

"Depends on the turtle. For Mikey I'd push him off, for Leo and Raph I would of given up." April said. "And for Donnie?"

She blushes and puts her head down trying not to smile. "You'd do the same thing I did. Wouldn't you."

"Yeah. Don't tell him but I have a tiny crush on him."

"Really! That's cute! Why do you like him?" I ask now curious. "He's just so sweet and smart and just adorably kind." April says with a smile that just screams 'this is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth!' "It's ok. It's like your giving racism the middle finger!" I say and we both laugh. "Yeah. I guess your right." April says barely keeping her self from laughing.
