Sanem practically scoffed when she saw Polen's name flash across Can's screen – of course. How had she been so stupid? The man she was just about to kiss was the man that was meant to be on his way to London to stay with his ex-girlfriend. Can had everything at his fingertips She rolled her eyes and backed away from Can like an electric shock had been shot through her bloodstream.

"I'll leave you in peace to talk to your lover." Unlike a few moments earlier, Sanem's tone was evidently bitter and jealous but she didn't care. She was mad at him again.

"She isn't my lover-" Whilst avoiding eye contact, Sanem turned on her heel and was headed out the doorway until she felt Can's hand catch her wrist. He held onto her firmly and she was forced to spin back around. His mere touch sent shivers through her and she wanted to curse at herself. She hated herself for reacting to him the way that she was.

"Let go of me." Sanem snatched her wrist away but Can caught it with desperation. He was not letting her go this time.

"No, Sanem-" As Can tried to explain himself, that irritable jingle of his ringtone started up again. It was Polen, yet again, with her perfect timing. Can kissed his teeth in annoyance and this time, with a greater force, Sanem ripped her hand out of Can's.

"Don't touch me." With one lingering last look at Can, she stormed out of the office with a heavy heart.

It was in that moment she made a vow to herself – this was strictly business. She came back to the agency to do work and help the company and that was what she was going to do. No more one-to-one meetings with Can or working after hours. She was going to pretend like he was a sixty-year-old married man - completely off-limits. And surprisingly enough, it was easier than Sanem expected.

She channelled all of her energy into work and then spent her hours at home with Leyla, Ayhan, Osman and Sinan.

That was until Can grew impatient.

He knew Sanem had been avoiding him for days. It was typical behaviour for her, running. When the going got tough, she ran. And Polen had made her run. He knew Sanem had the misconception that he had been going to London for Polen and he so desperately wanted to rid Sanem of that. However, he hadn't had a second alone with her. Everywhere she went, CeyCey went with her and despite wanting to work out all of their problems, he also knew that when they were actually together, they needed to do some work. Compass Sport was important to saving the company and so Can came up with the perfect solution.

"For the next three days we will all be on location for the Compass Sport photoshoot." Can had arranged for the majority of the office to be out on location filming, including him and Sanem. They would be spending the nights in tents in the middle of the woods in order to create an authentic atmosphere of camping for the campaign. Can was hoping the time away from the hustle and bustle of Istanbul would enable him to actually talk things out with Sanem.

He knew exactly when and how as well. He knew the perfect little spot by the ocean with a hammock and pretty lighting. It was like being in his hut but outside. The plan was to lure her away and they'd just talk. He wanted to hear what Leyla had told him through Sanem's mouth and then he wanted her to hear his explanation loud and clear. They'd sit under the stars and they'd let all of the lies and the secrets come out and they'd start anew. "You will all be required to work on these days."

Everybody else was excited by this news. The weather was warming and the thought of being outside on a mini all-expense paid trip was welcoming.

"No." Sanem muttered under her breathe at Leyla. "I can't go."

Not only did Sanem not want to spend anymore time with Can, she had pre-made plans with her previously estranged childhood friend, Sinan, this weekend. And she knew Can, she knew he was doing this on purpose. He was fed up of her constant running around and this was his means to get her to succumb to him ... something she didn't want to do.

"Mr. Can, Sanem and I are unable to attend this weekend." As the rest of the office grew excited amongst themselves, Leyla ushered Can to the side.

"And why not?"

"We have plans-"

"And what plans are these?"

"We have plans with our friends-"

"Cancel them, Miss Aydin." Even though Can was talking to Leyla, he was really talking to Sanem who he knew was within earshot. He could spot her looking at him with her jaw dropped from the corner of his eye and he resisted the urge to grin at her. She knew he was doing this to get closer to her. "Otherwise I'm putting your job in jeopardy."

Can knew that would do the trick. Sanem cared for her sister's wellbeing and she'd do absolutely anything to protect her job, just like she had when she'd sued Fabri.

"Okay, Mr. Can." Leyla agreed reluctantly, aware that her sister was angry beside her.

"Mr. Can!" As a smug Can walked back towards his office, Sanem chased after him. She was technically breaking her own vow by going after him, but she didn't care at this point.

"Yes, Sanem?" Can invited her into his office and she went in, the door shutting loudly behind them. He didn't mean to be smug, but he couldn't help it. The smirk lifted on his lips as soon as he saw the familiar sight of Sanem stood before him. He missed her and this, whether she was angry at him or not. He had forgotten that her little nose twitched when she was angry or that she played with her hair when she was nervous. This was probably the longest time he had spent with her in what felt like an eternity and he was going to divulge in it, like a hungry child with a piece of cake.

"I would like to be excused from work this weekend-"

"I cannot permit that, Sanem-"

"And why is that?" Sanem folded her arms across her arms in an attempt to look patronising but Can couldn't help but notice how damn sexy she looked. There was a redness in her cheeks that matched the rosiness of her lips and Can was desperate to kiss her. He was incredibly impatient and her was excited, excited for the moment that he and Sanem cleared the air and got back together. Then he wouldn't have to just think about kissing her and holding her hand, he'd actually be able to do it.

"Because I need you on set-"

"But I have somewhere to be-"

"And that is more important than your job?"

"Yes, I have a date, actually."

Sanem knew it was a lie, but she couldn't help herself from saying it. Sinan and her were purely just friends but she had just wanted to spite Can and it was the only way she knew how. And clearly it worked. Can's expression dropped significantly and Sanem wanted to pat herself on her back triumphantly.

"Well cancel it." A now angered Can had a clipped tone and he applauded himself for disrupting Sanem's plans. No man, other than him, would be taking Sanem on a date from here on out.
