Chapter 15 - What happened to Tiffany?

What happened to Tiffany?
(1 week after the incident)

Sky's POV

It was the first day back at school and I was worried. Mum had spoken to Mr. Chandra for me, but I was worried about how Tiffany would react.

She did spill Coke all over me but maybe telling on her wasn't the best thing to do. I wanted to stay off for the first day back because of Tiffany.

On Monday morning, I woke up at 7:10 and got ready for school. I went downstairs and found Mum making breakfast. She made toast.

"Good morning Sky."

"Morning Mum."

"First day back after the holidays. You excited to see your friends again?"

"Yeah. Mum, can I stay off today?"

"What ever for?"

"I'm worried that Tiffany will want to get even more revenge on me because Mr. Chandra knows."

"Oh Sky, she won't, I promise."

"Well ok then."

(Later that day in school)

"Hi Sky, everything ok?" Alice asked.

"Yeah. You ok?"

"Yes. Ellie told me what happened in McDonald's. I wish I was there to back you up and shout at Tiffany."

"My Mum told Mr. Chandra and now he's probably going to have a go at Tiffany and she'll be angry."

"Mr. Chandra will sort it out. He's good like that."

"I hope so. I wish I'd never gone to McDonald's in the first place."

"It's not your fault. Your mum wanted to make you feel better after you got scared. Tiffany was the one in the wrong. Not you."

We had maths lesson 1. Tiffany was sitting a couple seats behind me, and I was worried.

"Alright, today we'll be doing fractions. I'll give you a worksheet to do. You may speak to the people next to you for help if you wish." Said Miss. Moon, my maths teacher.

I was sat next to Hannah. She didn't know about the McDonald's incident.

I could hear Tiffany talking about me to her friends.

"She's a total loser. Her mother, who seems old enough to be her grandmother, thought she was so cool and savage on Halloween." Said Tiffany.

"Ugh I know. She's so spoiled." Said Harley, one of Tiffany's friends.

"Am I now?" I said to them, annoyed.

"We all know you are." Said Tiffany.

"I am not."

"By the way, does anyone know what happened to Katie, my cousin?"

"Uh, no. Shouldn't you know? She's your cousin." I said.

"Well, her and her parents have disappeared. And no one knows where they are. Do you know Sky?"

I knew full well what had happened. I had suspicions that Tiffany knew also.

"No. Haven't heard anything."

I turned around and carried on doing the work. I felt something hit my back. It was a scrunched up piece of paper. I opened it out and it read "loser". It was definitely from Tiffany.

I ripped it up and put it in the bin. Tiffany could do what she wanted to me but, I hoped that she'd get what she deserved.

Lesson 2 we had physics. We were doing an experiment on electricity. I tried not to laugh at anything at all because I was worried I'd make something flicker. Tiffany was on the other side of the room.

Whilst we were working, Mr. Chandra walked in. Everyone was silent and stopped doing what they were doing.

"Hello year 9. Sorry for interrupting, I'd like to speak to Sky please."

"Of course sir." Said Mr. Hughes.

I walked out of the room, feeling anxious. Why did he want to talk to me? Tiffany was the one who was being mean. Not me.

"Mr. Chandra, have I done something wrong?"

"No. I'd like to ask you about Tiffany. What has she been doing do you exactly?"

"Well, she's been making fun of me and my friends during lunch times. I accidentally put my chair in her way and she got hurt, and she got mad."

"It was an accident. And she shouldn't have reacted like that. Anything else?"

"Yeah. She was whispering about me in maths calling me 'snobby' and 'spoilt'. And she threw a paper at me which said 'loser'."

"I'll deal with her shortly. I don't want to make it obvious that this is about her bullying you."

"Ok. Thank you Mr. Chandra."

"No problem Sky."

I went back to class. I ignored anything Tiffany said to me. I knew she'd get what's coming for her.

Lesson 3 we had art. During art, Tiffany was called out by Mr. Chandra. She took her bags with her. She didn't come back and she wasn't in lesson 4, which was history.

During lunch, I worried that she'd come up behind me and hurt me or something. Luckily, she didn't. My friends helped me forget about her.

We had PE fifth and Tiffany was back. She approached me, angrily.

"Hey, loooser! You're so dead. I've been suspended for a week cause of you."

"Then why are you still here?"

"Because, my parents can't pick me up and they get home when I do. So thanks to you, I've got suspended."

"It's not my fault you're a bully."

"You think you're soooo clever. We'll see about that."

I walked away. At least Tiffany had a suspension for a week. Whilst we were on the changing rooms, Tiffany approached me again.

"So loser, I've got a week off school. I could get you one too."

"What do you mean?"

"How about I get you suspended?"

"How would you do that? Do you really think you could?"

"Yeah. We'll fight. Fighting gets you detention and or suspension."

"I don't want to fight thank you."

"You're gonna fight, OK?!"

"No. And I'm not scared of you."

"Watch me. I can be very scary so you should look out."

I tried to back away but Harley wasn't letting me. Tiffany just laughed. Alice was no where to be found, the one time I needed my bff there.

"Sky, don't do it." Said Tilly.

"Yeah, you're better than her." Said Darcey.

I didn't do anything except carry on changing. When I was back in my uniform, I tried to walk out. Tiffany blocked the door.

She then hit me. Hard.

I didn't respond. I wasn't going to stoop to her level.

She hit me again. Then kicked me.

I got so angry that I punched her in the face. I wish I hadn't because I know that it was wrong. Just as Tiffany was about to hit me again, Miss. Wood, our head of year, walked in.

"What on earth is going on?" She angrily demanded.
