AnoTher chapter from Pony's POV!

I know, I need to get some Johnny in there, but don't worryyyyy I will.

This is kinda short, cause I wanted to get ahead and write this quick, so I wrote it the same day I wrote chapter 11. I need some extra time to think about the plot for the new book, so I'm getting ahead with the oneshots.

Anyway, this is a different version of the note Johnny left for Pony after he died, more of a gay version. So enjoy!

Ponyboy's POV

With shaky hands, I picked up the piece of paper. I unfolded it, and took a deep breath before I started to read.

Ponyboy, I asked the nurse to give you this book so you could finish it. The doctor came in a while ago, but I knew anyway. I keep getting tireder and tireder. Listen, I don't mind dying now. It's worth it. It's worth saving those kids. Their lives are worth more than mine, they have more to live for. Some of their parents came by to thank me and I know it was worth it.

I'm just gonna miss you guys. I never got to tell you this, Pony, and I'll never get to hear what you have to think about it. But I gotta tell you. I love you. Or loved you, I guess. But I still do, and I will forever. You mean the world to me, and I'm glad you're safe. That's all I've ever wanted.

I've been thinking about it, and that poem, that guy that wrote, he meant you're gold when you're a kid, like green. When you're a kid everything's new, dawn. It's just when you get used to everything that it's day. Like the way you dig sunsets, Pony. That's gold. Keep it that way, it's a good way to be.

And I don't want you to be sad about me dying. I know you will, and I know everyone will. But I also know Darry'll tell you that you don't stop living because you lose someone. He's right, Pony.

I don't want you to stop living because you lose me. I want you to grow up, and go to college, get a good job and have good kids. I want you to live. I'll always be with you. Don't get too down. There's still lots of good in the world. Don't forget that.
