CH10-Field Trip

When we got outside I see Bella standing at her truck talking to Mike and I notice Edward is listening in. At first, he had a scowl on his face then it quirked up into a smirk. I'll have to ask him about that later.

"We gotta go, we gotta go. Green is what? Good! Let's go, let's go. Other bus, other bus." Molina was trying to get the remaining teens on the buses and we are pushed to the second one along with my sister.

Once we are on the bus, we find seats at the back that had been uninhabited by anyone. I sit next to Jasper as Alice and Adam sat in the row across from us and Edward sits behind them glaring at the back of my sister's head as she's sitting in the front with her earbuds in while reading. I roll my eyes and move towards him. "Hey Mr. Bipolar, ask her out already," I say with a smug smile on my face.

He moves his glare from my sister to me. "It's not that simple." I again roll my eyes. "You're not gonna hurt her, even if she is your blood singer." His gold eyes change from glaring daggers at me to surprise with a hint of confusion. "Hey, I did my research, that and Jas told me," I say pointing to the vampire next to me. "Way to go, El! You weren't supposed to say anything." I hear Jasper grumble next to me.

I turn to look at Jas. "Hush." I say to him, he rolls his eyes and I turn my attention back to the gloomy vampire behind Alice and Adam. "You need to at least talk to her. While we're on the tour go up to her and start a conversation with her." He looks at me with disbelieving eyes. "She hates me." I sigh.

"You're right she does, but it's because she doesn't know what's going on, thanks to you. Look I'm not saying go up to her and be like 'hey I'm a vampire and part of me wants to kill you, but I love you and you're my mate', but come up with some kind of explanation of why you've been acting the way you have been lately without lying to her or telling her the entire truth either." I finish with a heavy breath.

Edward's eyes go wide and Jasper grabs my right hand in his left, squeezing it in reassurance. "Bella is going to find out about our situation at some point. You need to be the one to tell her. Don't leave it up to El to have to tell her." Jasper adds, backing me up.

"You know I can't just up and tell her Jasper. The Volturi will find out that she knows and come after her." Edward answers.

"And you don't think I'm in the same situation?" Jas snaps at Edward, moving in front of me looking like he might attack the poor loner vampire. Edward immediately sits back with wideish eyes.

I turn towards Jas. "Look at me," I order him. His head snap to me showing his once golden eyes now pitch black. His body is rigid but becomes relaxed as my free hand touches his right cheek gently. "Calm down," I say in a soft voice. He closes his eyes taking a slightly deep breath.

He opens his eyes again showing his honey gold eyes that I love so much. I smile softly at him and he returns the gesture putting his free hand on mine. I peck his lips and let go of him as I turn back to Edward. "I will give you till the end of Spring break to get up the courage to talk to her and tell her. Now that's about 3 weeks from now, you have time, but do it sooner rather than later."

He groans and falls back into his seat. I smirk and turn back to Jasper who's smiling at me. I smile back. It's a perfect moment between us and leave it to Alice to break it. "So when did this come about." I hear Alice's perky voice quirk up behind me.

I lower my head and internally scold myself as I turn around, with only dropping my smile slightly. I face her while picking my head back up to look at her. She has a bright smile on her face and a curious gleam in her eyes. Adam's arm is around her shoulders as he looks at us as well. I pick up an eyebrow in question at him.

"I have to say, I'm curious too." He says scooting closer to Alice to hear better even though we all knew he didn't have to. I face forward and smack my head on the seat in front of us as I let out a groan of frustration while Jasper rubs circles on my back soothingly.
