CH14-Port Angeles

⚠️*y'all know what this part is but I'll add a trigger warning for those that need it.

Aggression, forcefulness, grabbing and gross language ahead. Do not read if you don't want to read anything descriptive though it's not terribly descriptive as I tried not to be.

High anxiety scenarios described as well as the oc having those high anxiety responses.*⚠️

I pull up to the book store Bella told me to pick her up at and the parking lot looks entirely deserted except for a truck parked in the shady corner of the lot.

I see Bella walk out with a store bag coming to the conclusion she found what she was looking for. I flash my lights and she makes her way towards the truck. She looks creeped out so I decide I'd meet her halfway to make her feel more comfortable about walking in the dark.

I get out of my truck and make my way towards her. The closer I get the more frightened she looks. I finally am close enough to pull her towards me by her arm.

"Hey sis, why do you look so spooked? You see a ghost?" I chuckle lightly at my joke expecting her to at least let out a breathy chuckle and an eye roll but I get nothing. She kinda nods her head back causing me to look behind her. A group of 2 or 3 guys are walking up to us.

"Come on. Let's go." I pull Bella closer to me and turn around.

We don't get much further as 2 more males emerge from the shady corner with the truck.

"Saw you in the dress shop!" One calls out I'm assuming to Bella. "Hey!" Another shouts.
"Where you running to?" The second one calls out again. I stand between Bella and the assholes trying to intimidate us.

"There she is! What's up? Oh and she's brought a friend!"
"Nah they look related to me."
"Maybe sisters."

Their voices are now jumbling together as my anxiety rises due to their now very close proximity to us.

"It's my girl!"
"How you two doin?"
"What's up girls?"

One of the front previously 2, now 4, males steps in front of us blocking us from getting to the safety of my car. I'm boutta throw hands if they touch us.

Sure enough one of them goes to grab Bella. I give the guy my best left hook which isn't very good but my right hand was occupied holding Bella. "No one touches my sister!" I shout at the hormonal assholes that need to control themselves. I did warn them. Well in my head. The leader is down they all seem to back away except the one on my left. He grabs my arm holding it firm. I try to fetch it from him but he has a good grip.

Suddenly a silver Volvo comes speeding into the parking lot. It stops just before the front guys get hit. They back away in panic further distancing themselves from the bumper. Both front doors open revealing the 2 vampires that I'm so thankful to see. Jasper and Edward come dangerously close to the men around us easily clearing a path to free us from their intoxicated states.

"Get Bella in the car." Edward says. I guide my sister to the vehicle without any questions. She gets in immediately into the open passenger seat. I close the door and look on at the protective males. "That was a very dangerous move." The one closest to the cold ones says. Big mistake. Edward glowers at them and they back away seemingly frightened.

The one that had grabbed my arm is nearest Jasper. He makes a move to get to me but Jas steps in the way. He makes to punch Jasper but he easily catches his hand. He makes a fist with his hand over the guys. You can hear the cracking from here. "Ahhh!!" The guy screams out in pain.

No not just pain, agony. "Don't ever come near our girls again." He says pushing the guy back causing him to fall on his ass. I feel myself blush at the fact he called me his girl. Jas turns to me and motions me to get in my car. I do as non-verbally told and wait for my mate to get in the passenger seat. The males glare one last time and both turn nodding at each other going in separate directions. Edward to his car and Jasper to mine.

"Drive love." He says as soon as the door closes. I nod shakily and watch as Edward moves his car forward further scaring the group of already frightened males. He spins his car around away from my truck and takes off speedily out of the parking lot.

I put my truck in reverse but can only seem to go so far as to be at the opposite end of the lot. I put the truck back in park and lean on the steering wheel careful not to hit the horn.

I take deep breathes as reality hits me. I can still feel the guys hand on my arm. What would've happened if Jasper and Edward hadn't shown up? What would they have unconsciously done to us?

I'm broken from my thoughts when a hand is placed on my back. I jerk away instinctually and turn to see Jasper's soft eyes staring on at me in concern. I try to give him a reassuring smile but all I can come up with is a tight lipped lopsided half smile. He's not convinced and opens the passenger door. He gets out making his way around the front of the car. I look on curiously as he opens my door.

He nods to where he previously sat. "You should relax darling. I'll drive." I feel myself nod as I move to undo my seat belt but Jasper's already done it. In the blink of an eye I'm already in the passenger seat wrapped in his jacket like a baby in a warm(ish) blanket. I snuggle into it more taking in the faint scent of cologne that could only be worn by my Jasper. I half smile contentedly and try to do as he said. He puts my truck in drive and leaves the now completely deserted parking lot.
