~The Next Day~
~Third Person Brandy POV~
Brandy was already up when Glorfindel came to wake her up. She was reading her book when she heard the knock on her door.
"Come on in!" she said, here eyes not leaving the page.
"I see your already awake then." the blond Elf chuckled. She smiled.
"Good morning Glory!" Sitting her book down, she turned to the male, "Is it time for breakfast already?" Glory shook his head.
"Not quite. You've got enough time to get a bath and wash your clothes." Brandy looked down, and saw, sure enough, she was still wearing her blood stained shorts, and there was a little bit of red seeping through her bandages and onto her white shirt.
"Oh, wow! I probably do need a wash. Can you show me where it is?" Glory nodded, smiling. He led the Hobbit to a door, and opened it, showing a tube filled with water.
"Just lay your clothes outside the door and they will be washed. And when you are clean, we can have someone clean and re-bandage your wound up before breakfast." Brandy nodded.
"Okie dokie!" The Hobbit entered the room and closed the door, but then opened it again.
"Thanks, Glory!" she said, and then closed the door again, leaving the Elf to shake his head, grinning. Brandy rubbed her hands together anticipation, a warm bath was going to be amazing! She stripped out of her clothes and clumped them together, then dropped them outside the door.
Brandy slid into the warm water with a sigh. 'Man, this feels great...' She washed her hair and watched as leaves and twigs fell out. Then she started on her body, scrubbing off all the dirt, grime, and dried blood. Brandy started the water that was now a brown colour as she dried off her body.
"Oof, feels like I scrubbed off a layer of skin." she said, her tan skin now having a light pink hue to it. She opened the door and found her clothes, clean and folded neatly.
"Nice!" Brandy exclaimed, holding up her clean trousers. There were no bloodstains, and the all holes had been patched up.
"I've got to tell Glory to thank the Elves who cleaned these things." she muttered, putting on her clothes.
When she was finished, she drained the water and left the room, finding an Elf waiting there for her.
"Hello!" she said cheerfully, motioning for Brandy to sit on the bed, "I'm Faolin, and I'll be tending to your injury." She nodded, and pulled her shirt off, giving the Elf access to the bandages around my side. She unwrapped it and Brandy could see the small hole in her side. Faolin quickly cleaned it out and re-wrapped it with new bandages.
"Thank you, Faolin," Brandy said, giving the Elf a smile, "I feel better already."
"I'm glad." The door opened just as Brandy was putting her shirt back on, revealing Glorfindel.
"Glad to see you ready to go," he said, and Brandy waved at Faolin as she bowed out of the room. The Hobbit nodded, and jumped off the bed.
"And just in to time for food. I'm starving!" Glory chuckled, and the pair left the room, wandering down the many hallways of Rivendell and to the main hall. When they neared close, Brandy could hear the sounds of her Dwarves; loud voices and laughter. When they rounded the corner, the Halfling caught sight of the company eating, and quite regretfully- Brandy found- the greens provided by the Elves. Kili and Fili were the first to spot their burglar, and boy did that start a ruckus.
"Bilbo!"
"Mr. Boggins!" The two brothers dashed over to the Hobbit, and gave her a hard thump on the back. Brandy coughed, stumbling forwards a little."Shite you guys, I'm still getting over being shot, please don't break any ribs."
That caused some laughter from the company as the others crowded around the Halfling.
"Did those mibilkhagas do funny business to ya?" Gloin asked, and all the other questions were drowned out by even more questions.
"Let the Hobbit breath for Malhal's sake!" Dwalin chuckled, sweeping the Hobbit up into the air, and the sitting her down at the table next to Thorin. Everyone else sat down as well, and Ori glanced at Brandy.
"How are you healing, Bilbo?" he asked, looking up innocently.
Brandy smiled at the young Dwarf.
"Pretty great, actually," she lifted up her shirt, showing off her bandages, "Faolin patched me up pretty good and Glory made sure I didn't do anything stupid."
"The blond Elf you came in with?" She nodded.
"Wait," Kili said, glancing at the Halfling, "Do you do anything stupid?"
Brandy glanced around, and then grinned sneakily.
"I may or may not have bounced up and down the bed after her left." That earned her some hooting laughter, and some light pats on the shoulder.
"We'll make you one of us yet, Bilbo!" Bofur jeered earning an 'Aye!' from some of the others. Brandy smiled, a wide grin that filled her entire face.
This is where she belonged. Laughing and having a good time with her Dwarves, and she'd be damned if she let a fucking dragon keep her from that.
The only line of Khuzdul in this was (drum roll please)....mibilkhagas, which means tree fuckers. Have a lovely day/night and please vote and comment if you like anything! ❤
