~Third Person Brandy POV~

~Time Skip To Later That Night Cuz Im Lazy~

Never had Brandy heard such a symphony of stomachs rumbling all at once, or the amount of whining that came afterwards. You would have thought the dwarves hadn't just been fed a wonderful dinner. Dinner with the elves was a lively affair, complete with music and a one-sided food fight. The Hobbit didn't mind it, the food or the chaos, but then again, she didn't mind all the extra greens on her plate. The dwarves on the other hand...

"Where's the meat?" Dwalin deadpanned, looking out to everyone. Brandy couldn't help but snort at him, enjoying that moment of how he looked completely lost over a bowl of salad. The phrases they tossed around through the whole meal still made her chuckle. Even now, relaxing on the veranda that had been set up as 'base camp' she were relaxing and enjoying hearing the voices and seeing their shocked faces when dinner was served.

Brandy's remembrance of the dinner was interrupted by stretching a bit too much, pulling at her side, shooting a pain into her system. She let out a light hiss when she shifted, drawing the attention of the nearest companion.
"Still in pain, lad?" Nori asked as he laid back on his bedroll, staring up at the sky as he lazily puffed at his pipe, "This will help." He offered the pipe, and Brandy accepted it, taking in a breath and letting out a cloud of smoke. The Hobbit sat there for a moment, chuckling about how Ori and Dori had fawned over her after dinner, asking if she was already or needed anything. There weren't many similarities between dwarves and elves that Brandy could see so far, but one of them was their fussiness over someone who was injured. And to think Dori could be a mother hen, he had nothing on Elrond.

"I'm gonna turn in." Brandy spoke softly to Nori, getting up from her seated position.
"Alright then." Nori waved as his eyes slowly began to drift shut. Another wave of stomach growls echoed around the group, even from those who were fast asleep. It was sad, it really was. If she were back at the Shire, she would be baking and cooking up a storm to keep them well fed, her little company of Dwarves...and one really tall Wizard.

That idea stuck to Brandy, though. What if she could cook something? It took a bit of walking, and following Glory to find the kitchens. A few elves had offered to cook anything she liked, but when the Hobbit explained she wanted to do something special for her friends, they seemed to understand. Glory left to gather some ingredients and got Brandy some tools to make what she was hoping to and then left her alone to do her thing.

It was a nice change of pace. Instead of walking for miles on end, or running, or sleeping on rocks, it was nice to be doing something she knew how to do. Baking. Mother used to teach her when she was younger, and not off getting in trouble or dirty. Scones. Cookies.

Cupcakes. Cinnamon bread. Pie. All the good stuff from back home. The first couple things were made up and cooking in the oven as Brandy took stock in the things around her.

Her mind kept the Hobbit grounded, against the worries of what was to come, the small pain and twinges in her torso, and apparently the entrance of the world's grumpy-ist Dwarf.

"You should be resting." Thorin spoke softly as he walked into the kitchen. His voice heavy with sleep. Brandy turned to look at him, a little shocked at his state. He looked a bit winded, as if he had been running or something.

"Couldn't sleep. Figured I would put my restlessness to use and make some food for the company, seeing as you all are about half-starved," She raised her fist up to shake, mocking him, "Curse those dirty elves!" Brandy heard Thorin chuckle before she continued on, "How did you know I was here?"
"Tracked down that blond Elf." Thorin spoke as he slowly approached, his eyes practically shining like torches when he spotted the cooling rack of cookies.

"Stopped by your room and you weren't there. Asked the Elf for directions and then smelled something good...followed my nose." Brandy chuckled as Thorin cautiously picked up a cookie and took it all in one bite.
