~Third Person Brandy's POV~
Brandy was feeling better after her little nap, which lasted past lunch. Thorin was still asleep and the Hobbit was now chatting with the two princes.
"So, Bilbo," Kili said, leaning in towards her, motioning to the Elven blade on her waist, "How good are you with a sword?" Brandy thought for a moment, thinking back to her childhood memories of sword fighting with her brother.
"Well, in Hobbit standards, I'm pretty good, but you guys have been doing it for awhile so I'm probably just a kid with a stick compared to you guys.." Brandy said with a shrug.
The brothers gave each other a look, and turned back to the Hobbit smiling.
"Oh, Eru what's with the look, guys...?" Brandy gave a squeak as Kili and Fili picked her up under her arms and carried her off towards the Elves' training grounds. They gathered up... basically the entire company except Thorin, who was still sleeping. The two brothers finally set the Hobbit down, who just looked confused.
The others had sat down and watched as they instructed her.
"Alright, get out your sword." Fili instructed as he and his brother got out there own swords.
"Umm, ok?" She did so, and watched as Kili took her sword and wrapped it with some cloth, handing it back to her, and then doing the same to their own swords.
"So, what are we doing, exactly?" she asked, looking at her sword, then back at the two brothers.
"We," Fili said, "Are gonna see how good you are with a sword." Brandy made a face.
"Ummmm, okay, but fair warning, you'll probably beat my ass into grass." the Hobbit said, earning a few chuckles for the Dwarves on the side-line.
"So this is how this is gonna go," Fili said, stepping to the side, "Your gonna do your thing, and we're gonna switch in and out to fight you, and say 'switch so you know what's happening, got it?" Brandy nodded, readying herself for the oncoming onslaught.
~Mini Time Skip~
"You've almost got 'im!" That earned a groan from the two princes as Brandy dodged a swing from Kili, then Fili, and the smacked both of them across the arse. It had been going on like this for a bit, and the two brothers had given up on going at Brandy one-on-one to just two-on-two after the Hobbit proved to be extremely hard to get a hand on. Thorin had shown up at some point, and was now laughing his ass off, leaning against a pillar. Brandy was smiling widely, poking FIli lightly.
No one noticed when the cloth around Kili's sword start to unravel until Brandy let out a gasp and fell back on her but, holding her arm.
"Shit, Bilbo are you alright?" Kili asked, sitting down to the Halfling.
"I'm fine Kili, it's just a scratch." she said, getting up, wincing slightly. Thorin was suddenly there, next to Brandy.
"Here, Master Baggins, I'll help you."
"Oh, thanks." Brandy let the king lead her away from the company. He stopped after they had gotten a little ways away, and took Brandy's arm.
"Are you alright?" Brandy blushed at the sudden contact and nodded.
"Y-yeah." He let her arm go, and then started walking away. 'Holy shite, what the actual fuck was that?!' she thought, before jogging to catch up with the Dwarf. Soon, they had found Faolin, who was more than happy that patch Brandy up. After thanking the Elf, Thorin stomped off again, and Brandy struggled to keep up. The Hobbit grabbed his arm, stopping him.
"Thorin, what is going on with you?" she asked, her nose twitching. The Dwarf looked to the side, and Brandy could of sworn he was blushing.
"You've been acting really weird lately." She stared at him, grabbing his face.
"Thorin."
He glanced at her after a few seconds, before he pinned the Hobbit against the wall. Brandy didn't even have time to think before she felt a pair of lips on hers. She stared at Thorin's face for a few seconds before her own eyes fluttered shut, leaning in the kiss. He pulled away, leaving the Hobbit against the wall shocked and red faced, he himself red faced.
"Thorin, what-" Brandy didn't have to time to finish before Thorin stomped off down a hallway, leaving her in the dust, her heart still pounding in her chest.
She stared after him for a few seconds, before letting out a string of Sindarin curses she had picked up from her reading. There was gonna be some hell to pay later on.
