Bane had been laser focused on planning the war. I remained a team player. He had envisioned a football game, hostages, and the prisoners' release. He was going to unleash the prisoners and let them take over Gotham City.
There will be madness. I made sure innocent people were not going to be hurt. He promised me that. He said only those who were involved in corruption would suffer.
Bane was discussing this with Miranda earlier. I saw them both talking. He seemed very concerned about her and her safety.
Why does he even want her? Why does he want to keep her safe when she doesn't even care about him? She just wanted her father's plan to be finished.
Bane was briefing the rest of the men. Then he turned to me. "Amy?" All the other men he was discussing with turned to me too. All eyes were on me, and waited for Bane's command.
"Yeah?"
He stepped closer. "You'll come with me." He said and I glanced at Miranda behind him whose arms were crossed.
"Do you think your Girlfriend would mind?" I asked glancing back at him, as he turned to look at Miranda. Bane looked completely embarrassed to be going through this in front of everyone. He deserved it a little for embarrassing me in front of them last time. Eye for an eye.
Miranda rolled her eyes with a smirk, "You're hilarious."
"Everyone tells me that." I teased before walking off.
But I stopped in my tracks when Miranda spoke. "Try not to be a pain in the ass. I'm sure you can handle that, right?" She asked sarcastically.
I turned around. "Of course, we'll be over here working while you sit pretty and push one button."
She definitely did not like that.

I headed back home and tried to relax. I took one last sip of my wine. It's my fifth glass now and I'm feeling a little woozy. I've been waiting for Bane's signal. He's supposed to give me a heads up when it was time for the big show. My phone rang, it was an unknown caller.
I answered the call, "Hello?"
A deep voice replied, "Dawn?" He asked,
"Speaking. Is this Gotham's reckoning?" I asked coldly. That was cringe. Oh well. "What do you need?"
"Dawn, I want you to leave at this instant."
I stopped staring outside, my eyebrows creased, "What?" I asked. "What are you talking about?"
Someone knocked on my door making me jump in shock. "Bane?" I asked again, walking towards the front door, where I heard someone knock. I put the phone down, and slowly turned the knob. I opened the door and saw a cop.
"Uh...hello...May I help you?" I asked the cop.
The cop took his hat off, "Good to see you again."
I nodded, "Yes, hello." Okay, my head's pounding. I should not have drank that bottle of wine.
"Can I come in?"
"I'm sorry, what's this about?" I squinted at him.
"Ms. Amy Dawn, you have been charged of breaching private government data."
"I-I do not know what you're talking about—I"
"Right. Please, don't get all defensive. Like you did the last time about seeing Bane at the Alleyway."
I gulped, "What-"
"We traced your-"
A huge man shoved the officer, making him fall hard on the ground. I gasped, placing my hand over my mouth. My eyes widened, staring at the cop.
I looked up and saw Bane, standing in front of me with a phone on his hand. He threw it on the ground and he looked at me. "I ordered you to leave."
"Well...yeah.." I replied slowly, "Why did you do that to him?!"
"He had evidence. Clearly, he was going to arrest you."
I scratched my head and was startled when he took my arm. He pulled me into the living room after he closed the door. "Did you pack up?"
"Y-yeah, just for a week. I was going to-"
"You need to pack up, I'm moving you out." He said,
"What?" I tried to take my hand off, but his grip on my arm was too tight. "Why?"
"They know. It's not safe."
I stopped, "Whoa-whoa-whoa." I tried to stop him too, "I'm not safe here? Since when did you care about my safety?"
He pulled me close and whispered, "Do you want to rot in jail?"
I paused, I was too busy staring back at his eyes. He has...pretty eyes...and my gosh, he's so tall. My head hurts more.
"No..." I whispered.
He then replied, "Well then," He grabbed my bag. "Come with me."
He pulled me out of my condo, carrying my things. He must have gotten tired of dragging me around that he stopped to carry me on his shoulder. I shrieked when he carried me and proceeded to escape the building.
We reached the alley and there was a car waiting for us. A driver and a few men were waiting for us. The man in a black sweater opened the door for us.
I climbed up the car and watched Bane get in and sit beside me.
"Where are we going?"
"To the city."
I watch him as he said those words, not looking back at me. I quietly looked away. My head hurts. My head felt like it wanted to lean on anything it could. So I leaned on Bane and slowly closed my eyes.
