Author: I am on a row with updates this week. Its nice to actually have time hahaha. Also can I say wow, 200 views? That's amazing, thank you all still invested in this journey. My heart goes to you all!<3

A week passes, the same classes, the same people I speak to, its the same as always in my life living in this town. And yet, it's not the same anymore, not sense those gold eyes play not only in the dreams that pass through my lids at night. Dancing between a nightmare at times, to making my heart race with emotion that I never felt before. How can someone I've only spoken to a few times have such an impact that its not only affecting my sleep, but also catches me off guard during the day when in passing. His eyes, they seem to blaze and set my skin on fire when we make eye contact. Never has someone had such an effect on me, never have I been able to catch someone within a crowd.

Breathing deeply, I am thankful when I finally reach my car on the final day of classes that week. Planning to head home, I had decided after the first night when his eyes seemed to haunt me in my sleep that I needed to get away from this place. Having already received the okay from my mother and much convincing on my part to get Connor to come along with, I had a bag packed to drive down from the great Olympic mountains and cross over to Whidbey Island to take the ferry down to Seattle to spend the weekend at Connor's family vacation home up north in Shoreline. I needed much retail therapy as well as a change of scenery.

"El! Wait up!" Connor huffs as he runs to my car with an excited look on his face.

"Hey, I thought I was coming to get you after I swing by home?" I question confused. We planned to head right home after school to grab our things and I would pick up Connor from his house.

"Yea...about that..." Connor runs a hand through his hair with a sheepish look in his glowing green eyes.

"Oh Connor, what did you do this time?" I groan, instantly recognizing the look on his face. Being his best friend for so many years, I already had a feeling to where this was going.

"Come on El, don't be like that. It-it's just Liz, she needed help with her science homework, and you know. I can't just leave her hanging like that." He rushes and gives me pleading eyes once again with his lip puckered out in a pout.

"So you'll just leave me hanging huh?" I mutter darkly at him and cross my arms in anger.

"You know she's my dream girl, come on, think of this as a favor I'll owe you. You can ask me to do whatever. Just please, pretty please, let me help her with homework this weekend and I'll owe you a huge favor. Think of all the possibilities you can make me do" He grabs my arm and shakes me with a continuous puppy dog pout, a pout I can never say no. Curse his natural adorable charm.

"Alright! Fine! You'll owe me for this Connor Lydell! Do not forget this if you start whining when I cash it in." I warn, but he instantly drags me into a bone-crushing hug.

"Thank you, you're the best!" With that, he lets go and rushes back to wherever he came form. Sighing, I run a hand through my hair in frustration at the problem at hand. What the heck am I going to do this weekend, I just wanted to get away from all...my perhaps made up problems? I question myself as I squint my eyes in concentration at the view of the woods behind the school.

"Hello" A twinkly voice murmurs behind me. Whirling around with a hand over my heart, to see a pixie-cut wearing girl in front of me with unreal glowing gold eyes twinkling in either mischief or humor.

"Hello?" I question as I feel my heart rate slow as I recognize the girl as Alice Cullen and not a murderer that managed to sneak up on me.

"Sorry, did I scare you?" She tilts her head in question.

"Ah, kinda" I breathe out and smile just a smidge. "Was there something you needed?" I hope it didn't sound rude, but I was curious why this girl sneaked up on me.

"Oh! I was just wondering what your plans are this weekend. Are you going out of town?" Strange she would ask that suddenly, my original plans were going to take me out of town.

"No, I was planning to go to Seattle for the weekend with a friend but they cancelled last minute." I let out while also brushing my hair falling into my face, missing the relieved look that flashed over the other golden eyed girls face.

"Oh that's too bad!" She looked sadden by my lack of plans.

"Yeah..." Not sure what else to say, I just let the word out lamely as I look down at my keys and began to fiddle with my silver house key.

Distantly, I hear a nearby car horn echo which causes the both of us to look over to the sound. Seeing a silver Ford Escape with a recognizable golden haired boy that has yet to leave my thoughts this week is sitting in the diver seat with an unreadable look on his face. Yet, I can see his moves moving as if he was talking to someone.

Alice lets out a sigh in annoyance as she gazes at the car with unmasked irritation, she turns back to me with an apologetic look on her face.

"Sorry about your plans Eleanor. Wish I can speak with you longer but my brother is acting pretty impatient today. I'll see you later then." With that she waves to me and trots over to the car and hops into the passenger seat. Then they drive off to the main road and out of sight. Sighing heavily, I hit the unlock button on my car fob and toss my backpack into the back seat of the car. Sliding into my car, turning the ignition, I turn over things I can do to fill my time this weekend now that I have plenty of time.

...

Opening my eyes slowly as consciousness enters my mind, hazel orbs taking in the soft sunlight seeming to pour in through the french doors in my bedroom through the thin white curtains. Pushing my white comforter slowly off of me, I sit up and run a hand through my hair to relieve some of the mats in my hair as a result of another night of tossing and turning.

Sighing heavily, I lug my body into a standing position. Grabbing my cream colored shawl off the end of my bed, I walk over to the doors and peak outside. The sun is lighting up my backyard with warm light, bringing the large maple trees in the yard to glow in reds and golds. Staring out to the picture perfect scenery, immediately I put a plan into action to what I'll be up to today. Turning, I head to my closet to dress in a warm light pink sweater and a pair of comfortable grey leggings. I grab my guitar and my idea journal and trot down the stairs, today I will put to use this wonderful sunny day to use.

Grabbing my thermos, I fill it with hot coffee and grab a muffin folded into a napkin. Then I make my way out the back door, then past the open part of the yard and further down a trail that led to an area my mother's family had constructed when this house was first built. To the family sanctuary.

Author: So I have some details I am withholding about Eleanor's character and her family. I am just so excited to finally start getting to it! Hold onto your pants my friends, there will be some twists and turns coming up.
