Bugs: Wow! we passed 400 views! Thank you all!

"Please, don't run away." His horse voice brushes through my hair, tickling the shell of my ear.

It's too tight, the twisting I feel in my chest. I can hardly breath through it as emotions are racking through me.

"I...I'm not...I don't... I don't even know...who I am...anymore" Everything. Everything is confusing. These strange golden ribbons. The situation I am standing in. Why, at the sound of his tortured voice feels like a ghostly hand is slowly twisting my heart.

He pulls away, and flits his golden eyes down my face as a chuckle escapes his mouth. Lifting a pale hand, his hand brushes my hair behind my ear.

"As someone who has out what he is as reasons to avoid you, it may sound hypocritical coming from me." He let's out another laugh, sounding bitter. "But you're still you Eleanor. And even though we don't know each other, I can tell you will always be you no matter what."

Pulling away, I stare up into his golden eyes. "You promise?" Vulnerability was never a strong suit for me.

"Promise." He grins a crooked grin, but his eyes glazed over as he let's out a small sigh.

"There is something I do need to tell you, especially now. Everything has changed, and I don't want to hide from you anymore."

Curious, I stare back at him. I nod and he takes my hand. Bringing us out of the forest, for a conversation. A conversation long overdo.

...

He brings us to a bench hidden beneath the long limbs of a redwood tree. Taking a seat, Jasper stays standing and begins to pace as with his hands behind in his back as his eyebrows furrow. Eventually he stops as stands directly in front of me and lets out a tiny sigh.

"Eleanor, there is a reason why your...abilities did not come across as strange to me..." His voice once again sounded strained, as if what he was telling me was difficult.

I just nod, as I had no words to comfort him. This was, after all, the first time he has opened up to me. A step in a direction of something more than just stolen glances.

"I have seen many things in my years, have experienced instances that are damming. I have lived far longer than you can imagine, and there is a reason for that..." He looked pain and I was almost tempted to tell him to stop, to not put himself through obvious pain to tell me. Almost. For I knew this conversation needed to happen.

"I'm a vampire."

It's quiet, even the nightlife of the critters around us seemed to paused as he finally said that words that cannot be unsaid. I sit there in stunned silence, how I could possibly be stunned after all the things that has happened to me this last month, was strange. I should at this point, have expected something so unexpected as the fact that this man in front of me was a vampire. I should be afraid of what he was, but I wasn't. For he is not afraid of me, so why should I be afraid of him.

So I let out a breath and turn my hazel orbs to him, not knowing that they were a blazing green. "Okay."

He looked as frozen as a statue when the one word left my mouth, as if he expected something more.

"Just...okay?" He says quietly that I almost lost it in the sudden wind that blew through our small space.

I just smile and get up, slowly, I approach him till I stood less than a foot away. Staring up into his blazing golden orbs, I repeat the one simple word.

"Its okay."

His lips slowly twitch and then stretch into a sideways smile that showed his white gleaming teeth. He lets out genuine chuckles as his knuckles push back loose hair that hung in my face.

"Okay then."

We both smile at each other than, amused by our responses. Then it is quiet once again, the only sound I can hear is that of my even breathing and heartbeat. I allow my eyes to trace from his golden curls that framed his face in waves that gleamed under the moonlight, to his dark brown swooping eyebrows that resembled the mark of painter brushing his first stroke on an empty canvas. For, Jasper Cullen was just that, a breath-taking masterpiece.

"So, other than being a vampire, anything else about you? Like your favorite book?" I joke and his face finally relaxes. Shaking his head in mirth, he waves to the bench.

"Well Ms. Eleanor, I do in fact have a favorite. It's a story of a young and mysterious girl that happens upon a strange sight one night in a dark corridor."

I can't help the smile that stretches across my face as we both take a seat and he immediately jumps into his favorite story. His face expressing so many emotions, and every time his eyes met mine, it was like a lightening bolt.

Then for what felt like ages, we talked about anything and everything about ourselves. To his obsession of reading books about the time period he was born in to how I first learned how to sew when I was 6 years old sitting on my mother's lap. To raw topics, like my father's death and my sudden strange abilities, to his own dark history of a manipulative woman.

And throughout it all, I was filled with a strange new emotion. It was hard to name for I was filled with comfort but also excitement, to listened to while also listening, to every time his eyes met mine I was filled with butterflies and hitched breath.

For this feeling felt like something unknown, unpredictable and wild. Like a lightening bolt that suddenly stretched across a blank sky. Silent, but also blinding. Mysterious yet so alluring to watch.

The most important part of that night was, I finally managed to crack open the ever impossible Jasper Cullen.
