Imagine : you are Tyler's sister, Klaus saved you from being turned into a hybrid as well because he had a fascination with you. You reminded him of someone he used to love deeply. You and Rebekah had started an unexpected friendship which only annoys Klaus because you're spending time with Rebekah more and more, meaning he can't stop thinking or seeing you.

"morning!" i said as i jogged down the stairs and into the lounge where my mom and Tyler were. "morning sweetheart" my mom said and i smiled and kissed her on the cheek. "what's up with you ty?" i asked as he looked at my grumpily. "i'll talk to you in the car" he said and placed his coffee down on the side and walked off. I shrugged and poured myself a cup off coffee. I took a sip before pulling a face. "are you trying new brands again because this coffee brand is a definite no! it tastes horrible" i said and mom chuckled faintly. "i'll note that, good luck cheerleading!" she said and i smiled as i waved goodbye, grabbing my bag and walking out to where Tyler was waiting for me in the car. There was a cheer practice today which caroline demanded i attended. "what's your problem this morning?" i asked as we drove to school in a silence. "i saw you speaking to Klaus to the other day, what's up with that?" he asked and i chuckled. "he almost killed me Tyler!! he engaged in conversation and i replied, fearing he'd kill me if i didn't!! what is wrong with you??" i said horrified. "he saved you from Rebekah trying to turn you into a hybrid too! that means something" he said as we pulled into the student car park. I shook my head "you're ridiculous! you've turned into someone i don't recognise as my brother" i said as i went to leave the car. Tyler grabbed my arm tightly, leaving a red mark. "ouch! Tyler get off me!!" i said and tried to get my arm out of his grip. Once he realised he hurt me, he let go and looked guilty. "listen y/n i'm sorry-" i stepped out the car and slammed the door behind me, storming into school angrily and heading towards the changing rooms. "morning y/n!" Caroline said happily as i walked in. I said nothing and walked to my locker and began to put my stuff in it and got my gym kit out. "what's wrong?" Caroline asked and i sighed. "nothing caroline" i said and she looked at me sadly before seeing how red my arm was. "what happened??" she asked going to grab it and i flinched away. She looked at me in shock. "me and Ty were arguing and he went to grab my wrist when i got out the car, he forgot his strength" i said and Caroline looked at me sadly. She pulled me into a hug which i appreciated. "it's difficult to adjust to his new lifestyle, everything is-" i interjected caroline "heightened, emojis, strength, blood lust. I've heard it Caroline" i said and stepped away from her, grabbing my clothes as a hint that i was going to get changed.

>>A cheer practice later<<

"hey y/n" i turned around to see Rebekah stood behind me. I looked at her confused. "yes...?" i questioned. "i just wanted to apologise for scaring you the other night" she said and i nodded. "and i hope we can move past it, friends?" she asked and smiled at me. "alright, just try not to rip my throat out this time" i said and chuckled. She looked worried briefly but caught on that it was a joke. "i'll see you in history" she smiled and i nodded. "why were you talking too her??" Caroline asked as her and Elena walked up to me. I rolled my eyes in annoyance. "she was apologising to me actually" i said with a hint of sass in my voice. "i wouldn't believe it, she's just trying to turn you against us!" Caroline said and i sighed, looking at her and clutching my books so tightly my knuckles began to turn white. "well it's working!" i said rather loudly, slamming my locker shut and walking after Rebekah. "Y/n!" Elena called after me but i didn't look back.

I walked over to where Rebekah was stood, trying to figure out her locker code. "hey" i said and she huffed in annoyance. "hello, sorry i can't get this bloody thing open!" she said raising her voice and hitting the locker angrily. "here, let me" i said and she stepped aside and let me do it. I smiled at her as it opened and she stared at me for a second. "thank you" she said and returned the smile. "what brings you here? Caroline sent you to stick a stake in my back?" she asked suspiciously and i chuckled. "no actually, they're driving me insane, and i thought maybe we could hang out? i know school can be difficult to adjust to, even if you are the strongest vampire going" i said and she smiled as we chuckled. "yeah, sounds good!" she said happily.

For the rest of the day i hung out with Rebekah and we got to know each other a lot better. She invited me round to hers after school which i gladly excepted, otherwise i'd just spend my evening being lectured for befriending her. We soon arrived at her house and Rebekah smiled as she saw my eyes widen slightly when we stepped inside. "and i thought my house was stupidly big" i said and chuckled slightly. "although there's a lack of decorations and ornaments in here, you could use a house plant or two" i said and me and Rebekah chuckled. "i'll inform the housekeeper of your request" i span around on my heal and saw Klaus standing behind us, hands behind his back and smiling. However he looked annoyed. I didn't have any words to formulate but Rebekah replied for me. "shut up Nik, leave the poor girl alone" she said and began to walk away, and i followed loosely behind her.

After an hour of chatting with Rebekah, we decided to order a take out. While Rebekah was on the phone ordering our food, i couldn't help but over hear a discussion in the room next to me. And thanks to my werewolf gene, i managed to hear it quiet clearly. "she reminds me of her" I heard Klaus say quietly. "i was thinking the same" i heard Elijah reply. "i do wish Rebekah would have told me before befriending her! it's put a complete stop to my plan!" Klaus said angrily and my eyes widened. "you could always just get to know her for who she is brother, this doesn't have to be a negative thing" Elijah said. "i had plans for tyler" Klaus said angrily. "well change them" Elijah said before i heard footsteps coming this way. I quickly acted as if i hadn't herd any of that conversation by pulling my phone out of my pocket and looking engrossed in it. "hello y/n" I looked up and smiled at Elijah. "hi, it's nice to see you" i said and he smiled softly. I had been fond of Elijah from day one, he seemed fond of me too. Maybe it had something to do with this girl i reminded Klaus of. "where is my sister?" he asked and i chuckled "ordering us food, but she's taking a rather long time" i said. "don't be rude to those providing you with food!" Rebekah said as she walked back in the door and i laughed. "i wouldn't dare!" i said and she smiled at me. "sorry, i need to use your toilet?" i questioned. "up the stairs, first door on the left" Elijah said and i nodded, thanking him and leaving the room. I was walking up the stairs, so engrossed in my phone that i didn't even realise that i'd missed my step and slipped. Before i could even brace for impact, a pair of arms wrapped around me and held me tightly. I opened my eyes and looked up to see Klaus looking down at me, almost lost in thought. i coughed awkwardly and he put my down gently. "thank you, i wasn't looking where i was going" i said, still in a state of shock. "i won't be here to catch you every time" Klaus said quietly, almost in a whisper which sent shivers up my body. I smiled at him slightly before continuing to make my way to the bathroom. All of the horror stories i've herd about him, he isn't living up to any of them so far. I know i'm suppose to hate this man, but i don't. I'm not sure why...but i think he's worth saving.
