[31] Let me go - Damon Salvatore

I was currently sat in the Salvatore Boarding House with my best friend Caroline and unfortunately Damon. Damon walked over to us and handed Care a glass of blood. "Here" he said. "I'm still shaking" she said softly and i took hold of her hand. As she took a sip, Stefan walked in. "What happened?" he questioned. "Go ahead, tell him. You're gonna love this" Damon said snidely and i rolled my eyes. "i saw Katherine today" Caroline said and Stefan was shocked. "Where?" He questioned her. "At the Grill. I just stopped by to gawk and...quasi-stalk Matt" she said and i couldn't help but chuckle. Bless her heart, she really did like him.

Care explained to us what she said and what happened. I was angered that Katherine was making my best friend feeling like crap, but there was little i could do about it. "She wants to do it in public. Killing Mason threw her off guard" Stefan said. "She's running scared. What she did to Jenna was desperate. She's out of tricks" Damon said and i huffed. "We can't underestimate her! Jenna almost died Damon. We have to play this smarter than her" i said angered. "Can we just give her the moonstone so she'll leave?" Caroline asked. I smiled at her softly. "No, Katherine's not getting dick. I've had it. I'm gonna go to the masquerade ball and I'm gonna kill her, tonight" Damon said, taking a sip of his drinks "You're not gonna kill her." Stefan said and we all looked at him in alarm. "Don't give me that goody-goody crap" Damon said annoyed. "You're not gonna kill her" Stefan repeated. "Really?" Damon questioned him. "Because I am" he said, i smiled at him as Damon scowled at him.

Little time has passed, i was making myself something to eat in the fridge while Bonnie was on her way over. "sorry, we don't have much in the fridge" Damon said out of no where causing me to jump. "don't sneak up on me!" i said angrily at him, grabbing some juice and slamming the fridge shut. "still mad?" he asked, smirking. "still breathing?" i questioned him back, raising an eyebrow. "it was just a fight, i'm over it" he said and i sighed. "well Damon, i'm not" i said walking out of the kitchen, Damon following.

"I got Stefan's message" Bonnie said as she walked into the lounge as myself and Damon did. "hey bon" i said and she smiled at me "hey" she said softly. "Hey, you brought the grimoire, thank you" Stefan said to her. She looked over towards Damon, Alaric and I who were standing in front of lots of weapons. "What's going on?" She asked. Suddenly Jeremy arrived, announcing "We're gonna kill Katherine".
"i can explain" Stefan said. "Please" Bonnie said, sighing. "We're gonna kill Katherine" Stefan said again and i chuckled. "good explanation" i commented and Damon smirked.

Alaric held up a weapon and showed it to us. "This works with compressed air. The trigger mechanism is up here. I have two of these in a different size. For you I recommend this. It fits nicely under the jacket sleeve. You use the trigger when you're ready" He explained as Damon and Stefan looked at each other.
"you wanted me to show you how to kill a vampire" Alaric reminded them and i smiled at him.

Alaric had ran through the weapons with us, me and him even did some sparring to pass the time.

"Are you sure you guys don't want me there tonight?" he asked. "No, I need you to stay with Elena. I don't want her to know about this" Stefan said. "Okay. Well, I'll make sure she doesn't leave my sight" Alaric said and i nodded. We all wanted this for Elena.
"Alright, if anybody wants to back out, I'll understand" Stefan said. "Yeah. Cold feet speak now. I don't want this going wrong if someone chicken's out. Caroline" Damon said and i raised my eyebrows. "I won't. Look, she killed me. Fair's fair. As long as there's no werewolf running around" She retorted back to him. "oh, I took care of Mason" Damon said and i looked down at my feet feeling bad. "As long as Tyler doesn't kill anyone, he won't turn" Jeremy said.
"Bonnie? Are you with us?" Stefan asked looking at Bonnie who looked around hesitantly. "But no one gets hurt" she said finally answering. "Except Katherine, obviously" i said. "Tonight Katherine gets a stake through her heart" Damon said and i sighed, sitting down on the sofa. "are you up for this Y/n, you've only just turned" Stefan said and i scoffed. "i'm doing this for my best friend, and so this bitch loses her hold over Damon" i said sassily. Caroline and Stefan exchanged glances while Damon glared at me. "how many times do i need to tell you?!" he exclaimed, getting frustrated with my stubbornness. "she kissed you Damon! and the worst part is you let her" i snapped back, standing up and walking off. Damon and I were on and off, well we were before I became a vampire, but then when i became one, everything was magnified and feelings that were only fleeting became more permanent. Everything was good with Damon and I until i found out about their kiss.
