[25] Drunk In Love - Klaus Mikealson

[Imagine: The reader gets drunk, confesses her love for Klaus. klaus tells her in the morning what happened but also says he loves her too]

"oh come on Rebekah i didn't get to finish my dinner" i said as she dragged me out of the kitchen and into my room. "Right! you are going to this bloody party! i am not going to be the only girl with some sense in this household" she said and i giggles. "you have Hayley" i said and she pulled a face at me and i chuckled. I was only staying with Rebekah until i managed to find myself an apartment in New Orleans. I had come down here from Mystic Falls to visit, but i've stayed longer than i had planned. "right i'm thinking this one!" she said and practically threw the dress at me. "don't you think it's a bit showy?" i asked hesitantly. "no! i think you're going to look sophisticated but sexy" Rebekah said with a smirk and i chuckled as i went to try it on. "i'm sure my brother will love it" she said and i shot her a glare as she laughed. Rebekah knew i had a slight crush forming on her brother, Klaus. Unfortunately for me, Rebekah wouldn't stop going on about it, and Elijah being one of my best friends, could sense something was going on, and always sent me to him when he was stressed of i needed to talk him out of murdering someone. "right, let's get this over and done with" i said as i sighed, linking my arm with Rebekah's. We walked down the staircase towards where everyone was mingling. i noticed a few people turn and looked. "They're only looking cause we look bloody gorgeous" Rebekah said which cause me to chuckle slightly. "i think that might be on you tonight becks" i said and she shook her head. "my brothers are looking" she said and i glances around the room until i met Elijah's gaze. He gave me a soft smile which i returned. I then caught Klaus's eye who smiled at me softly, holding out a drink. I smiled down at the ground as we stepped off the last step and onto the floor. We made our way over to them and Elijah hugged me and pecked me on the cheek. "you look beautiful, both of you" he said and i smiled. "drink love?" Klaus asked holding out a glass of what i presumes was Prosecco. I smiled and accepted. "thank you" i said softly. "shall we dance?" he asked and i chuckled as i let him lead me onto the dance floor. "may i just say, you look absolutely ravishing in that dress" Klaus said with a smirk, causing my cheeks to turn a crimson red and my face to heat up. I composed myself and raised my chin. "you look rather handsome in your suit" i said meeting his gaze and he smiled.

The night passed by in what seemed like a blur. Mainly because it ended up being a blur. "Come on now y/n, i think that's enough" Rebekah said and i shook my head chuckling as i was rather unsteady on my feet. "rebekah! you were the one who interrupted my food, so the drinks went to my head a bit" i slurred slightly and she just chuckled. "how could you interrupt her eating Rebekah??" Hayley said and we both giggled. "some people don't have high vampire tolerance" i said as i finished the rest of my drink in a gulp. There was only a few guests left such as Marcel and Josh who were in Klaus's study for some reason. "i'm going to grab another bottle!" i said happily as i tried to skip up the stairs but ended up stumbling and laughing as i managed to catch myself. "i'm fine!" i declared rather loudly, hearing everyone laughing at me where they were sat in the middle compound. I smiled to myself as i tried to walk as steady as possible towards where they kept the spare bottles of bourbon in the office. I opened the door without even thinking to knock, missing my footing slightly and stumbling. My gaze widened as i saw Marcel and Klaus. "sorry to interrupt, just need to replenish the booze selection downstairs" i said as i tried to walk as soberly as i could towards the drink cabinet. "i should probably get going" Marcel declared and before i knew it he was gone. It was just Klaus and I left alone in his study. I picked up the bottle of bourbon and turned around to see him watching me. "what?" i questioned him. "i feel as if you might not need anything else to drink" He said as he slowly stood up and walked over to me. "the party has only just started!" i exclaimed, instantly covering my mouth in shock at how i just spoke to Klaus. I had never been particularly outgoing or rude around Klaus. I know he'd never hurt me, but it would be the fear that he wouldn't like this outspoken version of me. "if you insist love" he said. "put i would suggest this bottle" Klaus said quietly as he was stood in front of me, prying the original bottle of bourbon out of my hands and replacing it with another. I could practically feel his breath moving in the air. "thanks" i said quietly. "what happened to that spark of confidence?" Klaus asked me, smirking as he could see that he had made me feel a bit uncomfortable or nervous. "it's having a rest for the night to come" i replied, getting some of my buzz back. I decided that enough was enough, pretending to be this timid, innocent soul when i'm around him. I was a powerful witch with an attitude and it's about time he knew it. "anything planned?" he questioned as he stepped back and walked towards the door. "just this bottle" i said holding it up and smiling. "well have fun" he said and opened the doors. I walked out of it, getting some confidence back into my walk. Rebekah and Hayley cheered as they saw me walking down the stairs with the bottle. "let's get this going!" Hayley said and we all poured ourselves some more drinks and got the music pumping.

An hour later of dancing on the bar, a few smashed glasses and the occasional complaint to turn down the music, we were finally tired. We had slumped on the sofas, laughing to ourselves. "i think it's time to rap this up" Klaus said walking over to us, clearly irritated. He turned the speaks off instantly and tapped me on the shoulders. "bed time" he said sarcastically and i rolled my eyes. "no klaus i don't want to!" i said pouting at him with puppy eyes. He looked at me before sighing. He walked round to the front of the sofa and picked me up, causing me to squeal out of shock. Hayley and Rebekah of course finding it hilarious. "Klaus!" i shouted as he started walking towards the stairs. "make sure you have fun y/n!" Rebekah called. "be safe!" Hayley added. I laughed at their comments and i could feel how annoyed Klaus was. We soon came to me room, he kicked my door open gently with his foot before laying me down on my bed, my head still spinning and me still giggling. "klaus" i called as he turned to leave. He sighed before looking back at me. "i'm sorry if i annoy you" i said quietly. No longer giggling. He looked at me with soft eyes and walked over to my bed. "you don't annoy me Y/N, you just don't know how to hold your booze" Klaus said and chuckled slightly, causing me to chuckle. A few seconds of comfortable silence passed before i opened my mouth. "i love you" i said, rubbing my eyes as i started to feel really tired. I rolled into my side, pulling the covers over me. I felt the bed dip in the side and looked up to see Klaus was sitting there, looking down at me. He grabbed my hand and my heart started to race. "i'm sorry, i...." i trailed off, feeling tiredness consume me before i could finish.

The Next Morning

"good morning sunshine!" Rebekah said chirpily as i walked into the kitchen to make myself a coffee and in need of some headache pills. "why did you let me drink" i questioned her and she chuckled. "here" she said and pricked her finger, dripping some of her blood into my cup. "hangover cure" she said as i pulled a face and we both chuckled. I pour coffee in my mug to disguise the taste. I grabbed myself an apple and my mug before sitting down and enjoying the silence. "How's the head?" i turned around to see Klaus standing there, smirking at me. "it's not good, but it should be once i've finished this, Rebekah gave me some of her blood" i said and couldn't help but chuckle slightly. "listen love-" Klaus started "oh no i was really loud wasn't i? i'm sorry if i was rude or annoying or-" i panicked. "you weren't any of those things" he said and i sighed in relief. "you said....last night you told me you loved me" He said and i widened my eyes. My cheeks flushed a crimson red and i bowed my head in embarrassment. "i'm so sorry" i said quietly, feeling so ashamed and stupid. "it's alright love" He said softly, he was now standing next to me, he had placed his hand over mine. I looked at our hands, then up at him. "because i think i might love you too" he said with a small smile on his face. I smiled up at him, butterflies filling my stomach, i couldn't describe the feeling. He leant down and kissed me, gently but lovingly. I had always wondered what it would be like to kiss him, and now it was finally happening. My heart was pounding and i was so unsure on how to react, but i placed my hand softly on the back of his neck. It seemed like hours had passed before he broke away slowly, resting his forehead against mine.

Slowly but surely, everything was falling into place.
