One Way Home

Part XI: Okay?

You open your eyes and let them adapt to the bright light. You blink a few times but your eyelids keep closing again. You try again and this time you succeed. Was this your bed you were lying in? Yes, it was. You try to move your arm but it hurts, everything hurts. "Ah, you're awake. I'll be right there.", you hear inside your head. Your head was pounding and your throut was dry. Charles walked into the room and smiles. "What happened to me?", I ask. "Your powers took control of you." Your memories started to come back in little spots. "How's Peter?", you ask concerned. "Peter is fine, I think you hurt yourself more than you hurt Peter." You sigh of relief. "How long have I been sleeping?" "About 5 days. Your body lost a lot of energy because of your mutation taking over so your body needed to rest." "What did I exactly do to Peter? And what happened to my arm?", you ask. "You broke your arm when you fell off the stairs, Raven tried to take you outside and you faited, she wasn't able to catch you. About Peter, we don't exactly know what you -your mutation- did to him. Maybe the energy got drained out of him." You bite your lip. "What have I done?", you whisper. "It's not your fault. It could happen to anyone." "Can I see Peter?", you ask. "I'll get him for you.", Charles says and walks out of the room. Peter ran into the room in superspeed. "Finally my Aurora is awake.", he says and smiles wide. "Are you alright?", you ask. "Are you kidding me? You are the one with the broken arm and drained energy and you ask if I'm alright? Of course I am, not a scratch." "Come here.", you say and kiss him on his lips. "I missex those kisses.", he says. You smile and let your eyes glide over his body. Alex walks in. "Is it alright if I talk to her alone?", Alex asks. Peter nods and leaves. "How's it going?", he asks, a bit uncomfortable. "Well, I actually don't know.", you answer. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have shouted at you and I'm sorry I said all those things. I should have helped you when you needed me. Then this didn't happen. I never wanted this to happen, so please, can you forgive me?", he asks. You notice his eyes are a bit watery. You close your eyes to hide your tears and just nod a few times. Alex smiles weakly and then leaves again. "Thank you", he says on the way out.
