When I wake up in the morning, the TV is still at a low buzz and Kylie is cuddled into my side. She must feel me start to stir because her eyes start to open. "Morning" I say and kiss her temple "Morning" she mumbles wiping sleep from her eyes. I check my phone and see missed calls and texts from the guys wondering where I am. I text Kenny knowing I won't have to explain anything to him and tell him I'm hanging out with family for the day and that I will meet them later for dinner. I get up and run upstairs hopping into the shower and finding a bro tank and some khaki shorts to throw on after. When I get back downstairs Kylie's eating fruit loops on the couch still wrapped in a blanket. "Where's mine?" I ask falling on to the couch beside her "Oh God you smell good" she says instantly sniffing the air I laugh and kiss her cheek before getting up to get myself a bowl. "So I figure after breakfast we can go to your house and you can get ready and then you, Dylan and I can go out" I say from the kitchen and she nods "And do what exactly?" She asks looking over, her blonde hair in a falling out mess "I thought we could go to the cages and play some baseball, you know, guy stuff" she wrinkles her nose "I know how to hit some dumb ball Jack it's not JUST guy stuff" I laugh walking back over to the couch "I know babe" I say and kiss her nose, pulling back to see her bright red cheeks "What?" I ask looking at her face in shock "It's just, you called me babe, I don't know it's all so real, I-I" I take her hand in mine "This is the way it's gonna be Ky there's no ditching me now" I laugh and she smiles sweetly, her two small dimples appearing at the corners of her smile.

After breakfast we get into my jeep and take the short drive over to her house. I hadn't been there for over half a year, but I knew the way exactly, almost like the back of my hand. "Um do you wanna stay here?" She asks getting out and I shake my head "No, I'm coming in babe" I say closing the door and a nervous look spreads across her face "What's wrong?" I ask bringing her body into mine "It's just my Mom is home and I didn't tell her where I was last night. I don't want things to get ugly" I hold her tightly "I'm not gonna let anything happen to you" I say walking to the door. She walks in and the smell of booze nauseates me, it smells worse than Johnson's party and I see her Mom passed out on the sofa. We walk upstairs quietly and Kylie walks into her room and I walk to Dylan's softly knocking. I hear quick movement around the room before he yells come in "Hey bud" I say opening the door to see him coward in the corner. He instantly relaxes and smiles slightly "Hey Jack". Dylan's a cool kid with a bright future, he's extremely smart and wickedly athletic, but he has no way to show it. "Ky and I are going to the batting cages to play some ball and I want you to come" he nods nervously looking around the room "Does my Mom know?" He asks slightly above a whisper and I shake my head. He slowly gets up and follows my to Kylie's room where she's just finishing getting ready "I'm coming!" She says as she sees us waiting impatiently. When she's finally ready we sneak back out of the house and into my car "Let's have some fun today. Okay?" I ask looking at Dylan in my rearview mirror and he smiles "Okay".
