The party started bumping at 8 and before I knew it kids filled every inch of the house along with songs from Jack and I's tour. "Bro this is so gnarly" Kenny yells over the music holding a red solo cup in his hand "Glad you're enjoying yourself" I say with a smile "Just don't get to wasted aye Ken?" he nods jumping up and down to the music. I turn around and weave my way through the large mob in the living room towards the kitchen to grab a drink. I pour myself a glass of water pushing any thoughts of drinking to the back of my mind "Hey cutie" someone says from behind me. I turn and see Kylie who is a little too tipsy for being so early into the party "Ky it isn't even 10 and you're drunk babe, you gotta slow down" she shakes her head no and turns to start dancing on me "Ky no" I say grabbing her hips and pushing her from me "God Jack I am not five" she spits angrily "Well you are acting like it" I spit back at her. She promptly gives me the finger before deciding to walk off.

I sigh heavily and reevaluate my choices. Was I being a buzz kill? I decided to ditch the water and grab a beer heading to the back yard. "Jack" Sammy calls waving me over to the fire pit where a few guys and girls sit talking and having a good time. "This is Rebecca" I smile and give her a small nod "we went to high school with her" I smile again not knowing what to say "Sit down, enjoy yourself" Sammy says getting up and pushing me down into his folding chair. "So why don't I remember you?" I ask her "In high school I was kind of a freak" she giggles her brown eyes swirling with emotion "No way" I laugh "You're way to damn pretty" the words fall from my mouth before I can even stop them. I sigh regretting my momentary lapse in judgement as her cheeks flush a bright red. "You know" she says leaning close to whisper into my ear "I always liked you" her words make my skin shiver "You're so damn sexy Gilinsky I can hardly stand it" her word draw me into her with every syllable she slurs. I turn to look at her and realize we're centimeters away, before I can even comprehend what is happening her lips are on mine and phones flash from every direction. "Aye!!" a few guys cheer and whoop as her mouth curls into a smile. I push her away "I um I-" my mind can't form thoughts and my mouth can't form words "I've gotta go" I say abruptly standing up and knocking the chair over. I trip over everything in sight as I fight my way into the house.

When I get inside I rush to the bathroom locking myself inside and sinking down against the door. I hold back tears that burn my eyes harshly and breath into my hands trying to calm down. "Hey dude or whoever is in there open up I gotta wizz" a voice booms loudly through the door. I get up and flush the toilet and turn on the sink buying myself some more time. I try to breath through the thick emotions that cloud my chest before turning off the water and walking back out of the bathroom and out of the house before sprinting off towards my own house as fast as my legs will carry me.
