There's More To Her

(2) The New Dylan

-1 year later-

"Natasha where is Dylan I thought she was trying out today." Wanda said 

"Yeah she said that she's no longer doing cheerleading that when she quit before 8th grade that it was more than just a break." Natasha said 

"What is she going to do." Sasha said 

"Nothing she's going to do nothing." Natasha said 

They were at Freshmen tryouts for the high school cheer squad. Dylan was at home reading a book on Shakespeare. Bill came in and said "You didn't go with the girls." 

"No why would I go with the girls. I"m not a cheerleader anymore dad I don't want to be a cheerleader anymore." Dylan said 

"Okay.. suit yourself Dylan." Bill said 

A few weeks into summer she and Natasha both went and got their belly button pierced with Wanda and Sasha. All summer long if she wasn't laying out by the pool with the girls she was locked away in her room reading. Dylan was already very smart even managed to get her in some AP classes for her freshmen year which she didn't mind cause that meant she was able to hide at school. 

It was the first day of freshmen year they were all in their homeroom teacher's class. Dylan's home room teacher was Ms Hill. 

"Good morning everyone I trust that you all are in the right homeroom. So let's start with roll call. She started to go down the list." 

"James Barnes" she said 

"I prefer Bucky over James." Bucky said 

Ms Hill wrote it down so she wouldn't forget it. Then she continued down the list and said "Clint Barton." 

"here." Clint said 

She continued on down the list then she "Dylan Baylor." 

"Here." she said as she sat in the back with her blonde hair in a side braid and her glasses. 

Ms Hill finished up roll call and then released the class to head to their first period. By lunch time Wanda said "Nat I haven't seen Dylan all day she still goes here right." 

"Yeah she has AP classes though." Nat said

Steve said "I figured that's why we haven't seen her Wanda she's so smart." 

Dylan sat alone away from everyone and ate her lunch then sat in the library till lunch was over. That night  Nat came in her room and laid beside her.

"Hey where's my best friend/step sister been hiding all day?' Nat said 

Dylan chuckled and said "AP classes and the library." 

"You had Wanda worried that you dropped out." Nat said 

She looked down and said "I just try and keep my distance. I don't want to make things awkward for you all." 

"You won't." Nat said as she hugged her. 

"Good night." Dylan said

"Good night Dylan" Nat said as she left her room. 

Two months later Bucky and some of the more popular football players were leaning against his locker as they were talking about the girls walking by. 

"Whose the blonde over there?' Nate said

"I have no idea who she is.. but I'm gonna take a wild guess and say she's still a virgin. She's seems like the type that is a nerd with the glasses and the books." Bucky said 

They all started laughing and high fiving.
