(13) The First Real Date

The next day they took Paisley to meet his family and they absolutely adored her in every way. Winnie was also very understanding of Dylan's reasoning behind keeping Paisley from Bucky till he was at a place that he could handle responsibility. Winnie even said that James would have probably told her to do the same thing. 

Two weeks later they went to Nashville for their first real date and he said "So um Dylan I'm really glad you agreed to dinner with me." 

She smiled and said "Well I do like a free meal." 

He started laughing and said "Haha.. so can I ask when you learned to play the guitar?' 

She looked down and said "I was 5 when my mom taught me to play she bought this little pink guitar and we would sit in my room for hours after school playing. She and her brother and sister would sing for the church and go around other churches and sing. One day when I was like 8 my grandma heard me sitting next to her as I sang along with my mom. My grandma was a retired vocal coach and so she started to train me. Eventually they started putting me into talent shows and I would win but for me it was just a hobby so when I started gymnastics and cheer I exceled at that as well and then I was being entered into gymnastics competitions as well." 

"Wow.. you really are talented." he said 

"Thanks." she said 

"What happened that made you quit. I mean I know losing your mom and grandma but why?' he said 

"I no longer had them. Granted for me it was a hobby but I loved the time I got with them my mom got sick in the 6th grade she got sick with breast cancer and it was uphill battle I would play for her and it would make her smile then she lost her battle and I was heartbroken even more heartbroken that she would ask me to sing at her funeral even gave me like a set list of what she wanted me to sing and play. Then not even 2 months later I'm having to stand in her place at my grandma's funeral and I just that night I went home and boxed it all up including cheer and isolated myself." she said 

He interlaced his fingers with hers across the table and he said "I totally understand that." 

She looked at him confused and he said "My dad when he was home would watch all my game tapes I mean you know how good at it I was well that mainly him coaching me and making sure that I was able to be the best that I could be at it he didn't want me to be like him. And he knew that I wasn't getting in college with my academics when I was barely a C average student but I was good at football. He wanted me to go to the NFL so he made sure I was going to go far." 

"But you aren't playing in the NFL." she said 

"Exactly I didn't take losing my dad to well and um I blew my knee all to hell during sophomore year after playing high as a kite after popping two xs before a game." he said 

She said "Bucky.." 

"Dylan I don't do well with pain. I hate breaking into tears in front of people mainly cause all I hear in my head is boys aren't suppose to cry son suck it up cause that's what my dad would tell me. I wanted to forget him that night it was the day that he was suppose to come home and see me play college ball for the first time and he wasn't there Dylan. And I know I made a lot of mistakes in my 24 years of life and I've done a lot of shit that I'm not proud of especially with you." he said 

"Buck believe me I get it.. I'm sure my mother hates me right now." she said 

He shook his head and said "If she hates you then my dad may want to kill me' 

She laughed and said "I wouldn't go to sleep tonight if I was you."

"Oh shut up that is mean." he said 

"I'm just saying.. he might haunt you in your sleep." she said 

After dinner they rode the bike back to their hometown and then they went to his place and they started to kiss against the door of his apartment. "Make love to me Buck." she whispered 

"Gladly doll baby." he whispered as they went upstairs.  

They started to kiss as they undressed each other and he made love to her as they continue make out passionately. The next morning she woke up with him cuddling her and she smiled and he said "I know you are smiling." 

"I am cause we never woke up like this at the beach house." she said 

He kissed her shoulder and said " Cause I never cuddled or anything like this." 

She rolled onto her back and he said "I really hope you are on the birth control shot now." 

"I am." she said 

"Cause as much as I love our sassy pants of a daughter I want to enjoy you and I for a little awhile before we do that again." he said as he kissed her.

"Mmm good now I'm starving.. someone made me work up an appetite last night." she said 

"Mmm oh yeah.. I'll show you how to work up an appetite." he said as he got on top of her and they had a morning sex session then she went downstairs in his t shirt and he pulled on a pair of ball shorts and he made her breakfast.
