The next morning while the kids were watching cartoons and Bucky was feeding a breastmilk bottle to Ava Dylan was looking up information. He came in and said "Hey baby." as he put Ava in her swing.
He had her move and she sit in his lap. "What are you doing baby?' he said
"Buck she's not ready and neither is Asher they are 15 you were right all they did just showed us how immature and irresponsible they are." she said
"Okay so what do you suggest mama bear." he said as he played with her long blonde hair.
"We adopt the baby." she said
"We.. as me and you the grandparents." he said confused
She pulled up all the information about it and she said "Quite honestly Buck I hate to sound like a bitch or that I"m being a bad mom cause right now I already have those thoughts but Paisley I mean she hasn't been a problem child but she's had a lot of moments since becoming a teenager with her smart mouth her attitude towards both of us. At first I thought if we punished her enough it would go away but it doesn't. Bucky I went through her room last night while you were down here with them. I found condoms I found a fake ID cigarettes."
Bucky sighed and said "Everything that we did in our 15 year old."
"So maybe sending her away is a good thing cause obviously what ever we are doing isn't working and I don't want to do that I love Paisley I do but she went from this I want to be just like mama to this girl I don't even know." she said with tears in her eyes.
"Baby you aren't a bad mom and I'm not a bad dad. I talked to my mom this morning and she feels the same way the only reason why she fought for Becca not to go was cause she hadn't done anything else like Paisley. Besides I found this shoved in the bottom of stack of mail this morning. She's almost truant at school cause she's skipping so much." he said
She read the letter and said "Okay.. well I'll take her to the doctor in the morning and then we will figure out when she's due then we will send her after that."
"Let her finish out her freshmen year." He said
"Yeah." she said
Around noon the Bartons came over and they started to go over what they were doing on their end and after reading about grandparent rights and everything Wanda and Clint agreed to the idea of Bucky and Dylan taking over guardianship of the baby.
Then they had Asher and Paisley come into the kitchen. "Okay guys after some serious discussions this is what we have come up with as a plan and I don't give a damn if you don't like it." Bucky said
"After the baby is born both of you will sign your rights over to Bucky and Dylan as they will take over guardianship of the baby." Wanda said
"And as far as you are concern Paisley Nicole you will be sent to boarding school after the baby is born." Dylan said
"Mom that's bullshit" Paisley said
"Paisley Nicole Barnes that is your mother and you will respect this attitude right here is why we both agreed to this your smart mouth your back talking and oh look what we found in the very bottom of the junk mail you are almost truant at school which probably means that Asher is too. Mom also said she found this and these" Bucky said as he threw her faked ID and cigarettes on the bar.
Wanda read the letter and said "Clint have you gotten one of these."
He read over her shoulder and he said "I haven't seen one come through our mail."
"Asher?' Wanda said
"I haven't skipped as much as she had apparently" Asher said
Paisley looked down and Dylan said "Paisley Nicole."
"Sometimes I don't feel like going cause well I .." she said
Bucky went upstairs to her room and found her back pack and found weed in the bottom of the back pack and hidden in her closet was empty liquor bottles. He sat them down in front of her and said "You don't feel like going cause you are hung over but this is a awful big bottle for just you."
She bit her lip and Asher said "We sometimes drink and get high when we skip."
"Yeah this definitely shows us your not ready." Dylan said
"Paisley.. you remember when your mom told you that I wasn't ready when she got pregnant with you. Do you want to know why I wasn't ready to grow up at the time I was Mr Popular the starting quarterback I was also known as the party boy I cheated on my girlfriend countless times I would get high off x and drink till I couldn't see straight your dad was the same way Asher. But luckily for him and your mom they loved each other and were faithful to each other I on the other hand wanted no serious relationships and I screwed around. I was an ass back then and only cared about myself." Bucky said
"So yes me and your dad will take as parents to the baby and you will go to a boarding school. " Dylan said
The following Monday Dylan took Paisley to the doctor and found out the baby is due in October and that she was 10 weeks along. Then she rode with Dylan to the school since it's where Dylan works at. At the end of the day Dylan was putting her papers in her bag and then found Paisley crying at her locker.
"What's the matter?' Dylan said
"Like you care mom but I hope you are happy. Asher broke up with me today and started to date Kaci today." Paisley said
"Well then it's a good thing we are doing what we are doing." she said as she made Paisley follow her to the car. That night Dylan told Bucky while they were in the shower about Asher breaking up with Paisley and he said "I knew that was coming just shows how he definitely wasn't ready and now that the whole thing is basically over he has no reason to stay with her."
"Yeah." Dylan said
