(26) He's Amazing..

It was Saturday night Kinsey was beyond excited for her date with AJ even though she seen him at work earlier that day and they flirted around she couldn't wait to have a date with him. She was in her bathroom curling her long brunette hair and did her make up and put on a pair of leggings and maroon dress with a plaid scarf and a pair of brown knee high socks and her brown knee high boots. 

She heard his truck pull into the drive as she sprayed on some "Sweet Pea" body spray. She grabbed her wristlet and phone when she heard him knock on the door. 

"Kinsey" Dylan yelled. 

Kinsey came down the stairs and Bucky checked her outfit over and bit his lip. AJ said "Hey beautiful these are for you." as he hands her a dozen red and white roses. 

"Thank you those are my favorite." Kinsey said with a smile.

Dylan took them and said "I got a vase for you baby I'll put them up in your room for you." 

"Her curfew is midnight AJ." Bucky said

"I'll bring her home before her curfew." AJ said 

"Kinsey remember what we talked about." Bucky said

"Yes daddy I know." she said as AJ opened the front door and let her go out first. 

He opened the truck door for her as Bucky watched from the front window. He crossed his arms and sighed "Baby she's more mature now then she was at 14." Dylan said 

"It's not her I'm worried about it's him. I like him I just hope that he's not trying to impress my daughter just to get his foot in the door." Bucky said

"Buck baby Kinsey is a smart girl. She knows to say no." Dylan said 

Bucky went into the kitchen and got a beer. "Buck why did you agree to let her go on the date if you didn't want her to go." Dylan said 

"Because Kinsey is the one that gave me the big puppy dog eyes with tears at 14 cause I got upset with her for kissing Lucas at school and because I tried to put my foot down with it she went behind my back and did it anyways. I was afraid if I told her no that she would see him behind our back cause that's what she did and that's how we have our grand daughter." he said 

Dylan looked down and said "Bucky baby." 

He sat his beer down and said "Dylan we have 4 grand kids two by Paisley and 1 by Connor which I"m so fucking glad he waited till him and Arabella got married for that. And we have one by Kinsey as well." 

She walked over to him and hugged him and kissed him. "Baby every parent makes mistakes.' she said

"Watch sportscenter with me" he said

"Don't I always." she said with a smile. 

She poured a glass of wine and they sat down and cuddled on the couch and watched sportscenter. Meanwhile Kinsey and AJ pulled up at the restaurant he opened the door for her and interlaced her fingers with his as they walked up to the door and he opened it for her. 

They ordered their drinks and food and she said "So AJ you don't mind that I have a daughter." 

"No.. because what I see when I look at you is a girl that is doing the best that she can with the hand she was dealt." he said

She smiled and said "Thanks." 

"Besides I know what it's like. You want to know why I'm not at a big university." he said

"Yeah.." she said 

"I have a 2 year old daughter her name is Maci Elizabeth Sterling. Her mom and I are clearly no longer together she left Maci with my mom one day while I was at class and never came back. " AJ said and showed her pictures.

"She's beautiful AJ .." she said as she looked at his pictures. 

He smiled and said "Thank you darlin." 

"So um I"m going to tell you something that nobody else knows about me" she said 

"What's that baby." he said 

"I'm adopted. James and Dylan are actually my grandparents me and Ava are 7 months apart." she said

He looked at her confused and said "What happened?' 

"Well to the world she's my older sister but my mom is Paisley she is their first kid she had me at 15 but she was a wild child and so my parents adopted me and shipped her off to boarding school.." she said 

"So they were making sure that you were going to be well taken care of because they knew she wasn't ready." AJ said

"Yeah even though she knows she still treats me like her baby sister which is fine." Kinsey said

He smiled and said "I think your parents raised you just fine." 

They continued to get to know each other over dinner then they went to a movie then they had about an hour and half till her curfew. They were sitting in the parking lot eating ice cream after they were done with the ice cream. He kissed her and they started to make out then he broke the kiss as he rested the forehead against hers. 

"Second date?' He whispered 

"Yeah.. you are an amazing kisser by the way." she said 

He smiled and said "You aren't so bad either darlin." 

He started up the truck and took her home he walked her up to the door and kissed her good night. "I'll text you later darlin and see you at work tomorrow." he said then he left. 

She walked into the house and leaned against the door and sighed and whispered "He's amazing." 

Bucky and Dylan were asleep on the couch covered up she went into the kitchen and got a water then she seen them sleeping. She shook them both awake and said "Hey I'm home you can go to bed now." 

"Hey baby how was your date." Dylan said

"It was amazing he took me to dinner and movie then took me to get ice cream afterwards." she said 

Bucky said "So he behaved." 

"Yes he did." she said with a smile then said "He asked me for another date and I said yes. By the way dad you can stop thinking that he's just trying to sleep with me. He's in the same boat as me he's a single dad he has a 2 year old daughter." 

Bucky said "You seen pictures." 

"Yes I did and I made sure they were legit." she said 

"Good girl. I trust you baby." Bucky said as they all went upstairs and went into their bedrooms and went to sleep.
