Ray's P. O. V.

During the weeks that followed, Buck was out of reach.

I failed at putting together the name Stew Andus and trying to figure out what name Buck really wanted to say.

And another thing I failed at was explaining to Jules that I am Ethan.

Ethan and I are the same person.

But like isn't it obvious.

That's what the E in my name stands for.

Why can't Jules notice that?

So I've made 20 attempts and failed all of them.

Most of the conversations went like this...

" Um...Jules...Um so like...Um, how are you doing? *scratches forehead nervously* So what I want to say is I'm... um... I am-"

She cuts me off.

"Do you not have anything to say apart from 'um'. I was reading before you came."

*me walks away defeated*

Or it went like this...

"Jules, hey. So can we talk?"

"I'm busy right now so-"

"It'll only take a second. I just want to say that I'm E-"

"Jules! We need you!", a random voice calls.

" Gotta go!"

And then she's off.

I collapsed in the chair beside Jaz.

I was exhausted.

And I looked like a slay queen who had no make up on.

Jaz closed his book and turned to me.

"Failed again?", he asked.

I nodded.

He turned back to his book and opened it again.

" You do know that you have to tell her the truth before tomorrow right? So that everything we've planned to put in action at the party will work out."

I covered my face with my hands.

"I beseech you to not talk about it anymore, alright? I have tried everything. She either misunderstands me, is busy with school work, reading or something else. I have had enough! I give up!"

Jaz shook his head.

"That is going to cause a big problem for us tomorrow, Ray."

"I know alright! I will try to tell her at the party tomorrow."

"Alright. But you have to do it fast. We need her to know that you are Ethan before we find out who Miguel Gonzalez's boss is."

I nodded in understanding.

"Close your mouth guys!"

Readers you may ask, " What were we  doing?"

It was the day of the party and we were standing at Jules's doorstep awe-stricken by great beauty.

Jaz can testify when I tell you that the two girls looked amazing.

Jaz and I were still in a trance when they walked past us to the car and settled down.

"What are you doing? Let's go, we are late!"
