Kally's P.O.V.

"Did they just run off?"

I nodded.

"Yes, they did."

Jules moves forward slightly.

"By chance, did you slip out that we were going to make them go shopping with us?"

I thought hard and shook my head.

"I didn't."

Jules leaned back in her chair and began to drum her fingers on the table.

"Boys hate shopping. They probably ran off because they overheard us speaking about it."

I agreed with Jules but I wasn't completely convinced.

Is that the reason why?

I don't think so.

Jaz and Ray asked about the place where my parents were cremated before they left.

Does that have something to do with them running off?

What were they going to do?

Jules was acting dumb but I knew she was smarter than that.

I looked at Jules silently communicating with my eyes.

Shopping wasn't the reason why they ran off.

And Jules and I knew it.

Jules jumped on the couch beside me.

"We can't go shopping because we're broke and our wallets have gone only God knows where! So what do we do?"

I took the remote control from the table and turned the tv on.

"We watch tv", I answered.

Just then we heard a car drive into the garage.

Jules and I looked at each other, our eyes widening.

"Mom is here!", Jules whispered and as we looked around the house we deeply regretted not cleaning up.

" Let's call cleaning service!", I suggested.

Her eyes twinkled.

"Even better. Why waste money? Let's just call the guys."

I mirrored the look on her face and picked up my phone.

"Sure thing", I rang Jaz up.

After a few minutes, I groaned and dropped my phone.

" He's not picking!"

Jules went to the window and looked outside.

"Mom is pretty occupied. Why don't we take our chances and clean as fast as we can?"

I went over too and looked out of the window.

Jules's mom was in a deep conversation with a man I couldn't see because she was blocking my view.

A man?

Who could he be?

Her boyfriend?

Maybe he was, seeing how she was giggling and acting all girly around him.

"Okay, let's begin! You take the kitchen and living room, I'll handle the bedrooms and washrooms", I divided the work.

I looked up at the rooms Jaz and Ray stayed in and shook my head in disgust.
