Episode 12: Imposter

---Haley's POV---
I walked up to Abby's apartment and unlocked it. It was her day off, so Abby will sleep in, then work unless my mom asks her to come grocery shopping. Abby was sleeping on her couch.

"Abby?" I asked. Abby jumped.

"Hey Small Child." Abby grumbled. "What were last night's casualties?"

"We told you," I said. "599 injured members of Morpheus." Abby's eyes widened.

"Haley," Abby said. "I chased after X and ended up on top of Mount Nyx. In fact, X took me there himself."

"Wait," I said. "Rebecca and I were talking to you after the battle ended." Abby raised her eyebrow.

"Haley," Abby stated. "That wasn't me. Go ahead and fall asleep. I can prove that Abby isn't me." I shrugged and plopped in Abby's chair. I fell asleep.

I woke up in Morpheus HQ. Abby was at Oo-duh-lattes ordering something. I walked over to Abby and plopped down next to her.

"Haley." Abby said. "Glad to see you. I thought you had school."

"Abby," I stated. "It's Good Friday. You know that's our day off." Abby's eyes flashed gold a bit. Wait, Abby's eyes are blue and scientifically, eyes can't flash gold. What is going on?

"Right." Abby said. "Anyways, let's get to work." Abby jumped up and flashed her teeth. They were almost like snakes teeth. X didn't have a mouth on his humanoid part, but his snake tail does have a mouth. Also, Abby doesn't have snake teeth. It was X in disguise. I had to make sure though. I looked over to see Rebecca walking around.

"Hey Rebecca!" I called out. "Come here! I have a funny joke to tell you!" Rebecca walked over and cringed. Yep, it was X.

"Make it quick." Rebecca said. "I sense X is nearby." Abby's- I mean X's eyes widened.

"What do you call a fake noodle?" I asked.

"What?" Rebecca asked.

"An impasta." I replied. My eyes looked over at X. Rebecca laughed awkwardly.  X's eyes flashed.

"Haley?" Rebecca asked. "Do you mind telling me more up in my office?" I nodded. We ran up to Rebecca's office and quickly closed the door.

"That was not Abby!" I shouted.

"I knew I wasn't going crazy." Rebecca stated. "Where is Abby?"

"X took her to Mount Nyx." I replied. "Knowing X, he wanted something in return."

"Crap." Rebecca said. "We need to go up there now." Rebecca grabbed her katana. I gave a smile.

"I am so ready." I said.

"Let's get down to business!" Rebecca sang.

"To defeat," I sang. "The Huns!" Rebecca giggled. Rebecca then punched in a few codes into the computer. Jade, Lily, our new member Ethan, JaidenAnimations, CypherDen, Pat from Life Noggin, Tim Tom, Adam Ortiz, James, and Illymations bursted through the door.

"My higher ups," Rebecca said. "We're going on a mission. We'll be going to Mount Nyx. Yes, Team Hamilton is coming." Ethan jumped up and down in excitement. He pulled out his pocket knives.

"Careful," Jade said. "Ethan is worse than Haley."

"Let's go find Abby." Rebecca said.

---Abby's POV---
I sat in Zeus' waiting room. Athena was typing something out on an office. Not as tough looking as the myths depict her. Apparently, as the world adapts to new technology, so do the gods.

"So Zeus isn't a playboy?" I asked.

"He gets mistaken for his brother Bruce." Athena stated. "So all those kids Zeus was the supposed father of, they belong to Bruce."

"So why did Zeus take the blame?" I asked.

"He defeats a bunch of Titans," Athena stated. "He is suddenly a celebrity and he has stories made up of him, good or bad."

"Sounds like Hollywood." I said. Suddenly, a familiar looking man walked out. I have seen pictures of him on Becca's Twitter. I know who it is.

"Abby DeHaan." Zeus said. "Glad to see you in person." I stood up and glared at the man/god in front of my eyes.

"I need to know how to defeat X." I said. "I don't want anyone else to die because of him." Zeus raised his eyebrow.

"Only the daughter of Zeus can defeat him." Athena said. "It was written in our secret prophecy."

"Secret prophecy?" I asked. "What is that?"

"We kept it hidden from mortals." Zeus stated.

"Just like Bruce." Athena said. "We have a few other gods hidden from mortals."

"Can you tell me the prophecy?" I asked. Zeus looked at Athena.

"Go get Apollo." Zeus said. Athena stood up and walked out. A few minutes went by. I kept looking around. The pictures of the gods seem to over glorify them. Athena walked in with Apollo.

"The prophecy of X." Apollo said. "After Hades created X, we needed a way to shut X down. Luckily, X has one weakness. That happens to be the daughter of Zeus. When Zeus finally decided he was going to head to earth and find himself a wife, we knew the prophecy will come true after centuries of him being a virgin."

"I still find that funny." I giggled.

"Anyways," Apollo said. "After the first daughter, Rachel, was born, we thought that was it. Then Rebecca was born."

"I knew as soon as I saw her," Zeus said. "I knew she was the chosen one. I did everthing in my power to prepare her for this battle. However, around 2014, X took over Mount. Olympus."

"That was why he was 'dead'." Athena stated. "We needed him back."

"Around that time," Apollo said. "X was captured by you. It was then we knew X's final fall was beginning."

"So Rebecca is like Hercules in a way." I said.

"We don't discuss him." Zeus said. "His 12 labours were just a way for him to show off." The gods nodded. I raised an eyebrow.

"I have been lied to." I said. "What about Prometheus? Icarus? Perseus?"

"They existed." Apollo stated.

"Prometheus did steal fire." Athena stated. "Zeus over exaggerated the punishment in my opinion. Icarus, he was a teenager, they all think they're better than us. As for Perseus, he was the only true hero." The other two gods nodded. Suddenly, the goddess Hera walked out. She looked over at me.

"Is that a mortal?" Hera asked.
