Episode 15: The Story Unravels

---Abby's POV---
I looked out to the ocean as the sea breeze blew into my face.

"Gutten morgan Abby." William said. He handed me a metal cup filled with black coffee.

"Morning." I said. "So what do we do when we're here?"

"Be on the lookout for escaped demons." William said. "We can still fight demons. And escaped demons usually come this way."

"Why?" I asked.

"They don't think anyone comes here." William replied.

"Abby?" I heard a voice ask. I turned around. It was Bradly. I haven't seen him since he disappeared from Morpheus not to long after the Battle of Limbo.

"Brother Brad." William said. "You know Abby."

"Of course." Bradly said. "Abby was a sniper back at Morpheus. Then she became the leader of that team I talk about a lot."

"Haley leads Team Hamilton now." I stated.

"Oh good lord." Bradly grumbled.

"What?" William asked.

"Haley." Bradly said. "How is anybody not dead on that team yet?"

"Trouble brewing at Morpheus." I stated. "She hasn't killed anybody yet."

"What trouble?" Bradley asked. I took a deep breath.

"X and Antisepticeye teamed up." I replied. Bradly went pale.

"That explains the code red." Bradly grumbled.

"How did you know about the code red?" I asked.

"We may not be in Morpheus," William said. "But, we are still property of Morpheus."

"Property?" I asked.

"We'll always be Morpheus members." Bradly stated. "Even after we die." I gulped.

"So what made you leave?" I asked the both of them.

"After the Battle of Limbo." Bradly stated. "I found a map to the Ruins of Soñador. When I arrived, I saw Antisepticeye talking to a woman into tricking Rebecca into going on a massive man hunt for Hades. That was a plan to distract Rebecca so X can get out. They take control of your archrival's mind, kill you, blame the god of the underworld for your death, then Rebecca goes after Hades while X escapes. When I tried to warn Becca, she just laughed it off. I told her that I quit, then I left." I sighed.

"Why did you leave?" William asked. Bradly raised his eyebrow.

"I figured if I left," I stated. "X will leave Becca be."

"How do two people share a demon?" William asked.

"X was my demon for years." I replied. "When Rebecca trapped him the first time, he bit her arm, and venom from him was absorbed by her."

"It's like Harry Potter." Bradly said. "Whenever she is near him, her scar hurts."

"She doesn't usually go into the layers due to that problem." I said.

"Because of this," Bradly said. "Abby, X, and Becca are the unholy trinity."

"Well," William said. "I'm afraid he didn't follow you. Otherwise, we would know."

"X can be tricky." I stated.

"X is the master of disguise." Bradly said. "He can transform into anyone he lays eyes on." William gulped.

"It's okay." I stated. "His eyes tend to give things away. At least according to Haley."

"At least she's good for something." Bradly said. I nodded and the three of us began talking about something else.

---Becca's POV---
I wanted to chase Abby, but I couldn't. I know wherever she went, she wouldn't want to be followed. I sighed and continued my paperwork. Suddenly, Mark barged into the room.

"You have a sinister visitor." Mark said. Suddenly, Patrick Swazye walked into the room. I thought he died of pancreatic cancer back in 2009.

"Patrick Swazye?" I asked.

"Call me Hades." Patrick said.

"Wait," I asked. "You were in disguise on earth too?"

"Yes." Hades said. "I only did it to track X down. However, dealing with my own 2,438 cry baby child is not that easy. He reminds me of your father's younger days. He shot lightning at mortals for fun. However, your mother struck his heart."

"So dad decided to go and live among mortals?" I asked.

"He did." Hades said. "However, my son decided to be a little brat and go on a killing spree."

"Then why was he so religious?" I asked. "Considering we were taught you were all myths?"

"He was blending in." Hades replied. "Wonder why he called you a fire bug?"

"Cause I liked fire." I replied.

"I used to joke about that." Hades said. "I dubbed you as a female Prometheus. Now he was a handful. Stole fire and gave it to humans. However, the whole liver being ripped out by an egale only to regrow was a bit of an exaggeration."

"How was he punished?" I asked.

"He was locked in Tartarus for about 100,000 years." Hades replied. I sighed.

"This is way too much." I said.

"He's here." Hades said. "Want to see him?" I nodded. I decided to single my mom and siblings. Dad stepped into the room.

"Take a seat." I grumbled. Rachel bursted into the room.

"Mom's still on her mission," Rachel stated. "And David is at Oo-duh-lattes getting a smoothie with Haley." Hades groaned. Rachel looked over, only to see dad and Patrick Swazey.

"Before you say it," I said. "Let dad explain."

"Once David and your mom get here." Dad said. David strolled in.

"What's up sis?" David asked. I pointed to dad and Hades. David turned to the direction I was pointing at and his mouth dropped.

"Sit down you two." I sighed. David looked at his smoothie.

"What did Haley place in my drink?" David asked himself.

"Nothing," I replied. "Trust me. I see him too." Mom walked in and turned to dad.

"Couldn't handle him?" Mom asked. My siblings and I raised an eyebrow. Dad sighed.

"You knew?" I asked.

"Yeah," Mom replied. "He confessed before I was pregnant with you. Mainly because you were different from Rachel and David. I was told about the prophecy and everything."

"I had no choice." Dad stated. "You we're bound to show signs of a demi god at some point. Rachel never showed any and neither did David. However, you did."

"I didn't believe your father for a while." Mom said. "However, it was when we found out about you that I believed him. A girl, the daughter of the god Zeus, born near the start of winter, is bound to defeat Viros."

"Then how do you explain (Y/N) coming here?" Rachel asked.

"And what about Abby?" David asked.

"(Y/N) was selected to help Rebecca." Dad said. "And Abby was Viros' last victim. However, Viros wasn't going down easily."

"He's really stubborn." Hades stated. "I am extremely unlucky about that."

"So why did you lie to us?" Rachel asked.

"He had to," I replied. "He had to protect us."

"Where is Abby?" Mom asked. "I haven't seen her in two days, is everything okay?"

"She left Morpheus." I replied. "However, I don't know where to." I grabbed my katana.

"Where are you going?" Dad asked.

"To find my partner in crime." I replied. I began making my office door and exited Morpheus. I took a deep breath. I need to find her, and fast.
