"Help!" Rebecca called out in the hospital wing. Doctors rushed over, grabbed the ink covered body, placed her on a stretcher, and rushed her to an operating room. Stephanie Patrick, head of the Morpheus Medical team at HQ, walked over to the leader of Morpheus.
"Rebecca?" Stephanie asked. "What's wrong?" Rebecca began to cry.
"Abby." Rebecca sobbed. Stephanie looked over at the medical team and gave a nod.
"We'll save her." Stephanie stated. "I promise. I will get the best on the team to take care of her. Just go get coffee and some rest." Rebecca nodded and took off.
Meanwhile, in the operating room, Abby's lungs have been sliced into. Black ooze spilt out.
"Clean those out." The head operator said. A suction straw was placed in Abby.
"The ink got into her respiratory system." An operator said. "We should be able to remove it safely though."
"Anything else?" The head operator asked.
"A shard of bone has been found in her right eye." The operator said.
"Careful when removing it." The head OP said. "Hopefully, we can save the eye." The OP took a set of tweezers and carefully went into the eye. Thankfully, it was just the eyelid.
"She will be fine." The operator stated. "There will only be a massive scar on her eye."
"Good." The head OP said. "I think that's all."
"Looks like it sir." The operator said. "We shall send Abby DeHaan to recovery."
In Rebecca's office, she began to tremble and cry. Haley barged in.
"I heard." Haley said. "Is she okay?" Rebecca shook her head.
"I don't know." Rebecca sobbed. Haley reached over and patted Rebecca's shoulder.
"I get your pain." Haley said. "Abby is my cousin. If anything happened, my uncle will have nobody left. Abby was his only family left after her older brother cut my uncle out of his life and her mother died."
"I should've stopped her." Rebecca said. Haley sighed and shook her head.
"It was you not stopping her that saved all those lives." Haley said. "Now I better go. Good night." Haley walked out of the office. Rebecca sighed and turned on the instrumental version of the Avril Lavigne song, "Keep Holding On". Rebecca closed her eyes and listened to the music.
Suddenly, there was a knock at Rebecca's door. Rebecca opened her eyes.
"Come in." Rebecca said. Stephanie walked into the room with a faint smile.
"I have good news." Steph said. "Abby's in recovery. Surgery went well. However, she won't wake up for three days. You're welcome to see her." Rebecca stood up and walked over.
"Thanks Stephanie." Rebecca said. "Can you take me to her?"
"Of course." Stephanie said. The two walked to the hospital wing and into a privet room. There laid Abby's body. Connected to tubes and monitors. Rebecca walked over and held her hand.
"Abby." Rebecca sobbed. "I'm sorry."
"I will step out now." Steph said. She walked out of the room. Rebecca suddenly started to sing.

"Abby." Rebecca sobbed. (Y/N) walked into the room.
"Hey." (Y/N) said. "I heard Abby was in here. How is she?"
"She'll be out for a while." Rebecca replied.
"Sorry for not checking in lately." (Y/N) said. "United got bombarded with missions, so we missed half the stuff that was going on around here."
"It's fine." Rebecca said. "How are Ana and Carlos?"
"Ana found out she's pregnant." (Y/N) stated. "She's been requesting a leave till the baby's a year old."
"How did Carlos take it?" Rebecca asked.
"He's afraid." (Y/N) replied.
"Who wouldn't be?" Rebecca asked. Haley marched into the room.
"Is Abby okay?" Haley asked.
"She'll be asleep for a few nights." (Y/N) replied. Haley sighed.
"At least she has a cool scar." Haley said.
"I'm surprised you didn't end up here yet." (Y/N) said.
"To be honest." Haley said. "I'm surprised I didn't end up here yet either." Rebecca giggled, then looked down at Abby. Rebecca pushed Abby's hair out of her face.
Stay alive. Rebecca thought. Just stay alive.
