Tales Of Morpheus- Season 1

Episode 20: The Battle of Alpine

---Third Person---
Rebecca, Abby, Mark, Haley, Carlos, (Y/N), and a small crowd of Morpheus members from HQ and Morpheus North America, gathered around Alpine, Alaska. It's been a ghost town for almost two decades now. It is one of the safest places to go and battle X. Abby looked down at Haley as she placed the trap for X.

"Okay Becca." Haley said. "We will camp here for tonight. Stay here, I'll go get food." Haley walked off and hid in a camouflage cloak. Abby looked over at Haley gave a nod. Now, the small army waits.

Come on X, come and play. Rebecca thought. X came crawling out of nowhere and looked at the dummy.

"Well," X snarled. "Looks like I have found you at your most vulnerable state. Don't worry, this will be slow and painful. Goodbye Heroine de Terra." X's snake tail whipped up and bit hard on the decoy. Suddenly, the leather coating began melting. Abby cringed at the sight.

"I wasn't expecting that." Abby whispered.

"That's gross." Rebecca whispered.

"I think I'm going to throw up." Mark whispered. X began to laugh.

"Now!" Rebecca shouted. Everybody jumped out of their hiding spots. Half of the army jumped out of the trees while the other half emerged from the ground. Rebecca landed right in front of X.

"Well," X said. "Looks like I became the fool."

"Ironically," Haley snickered. "This is written on April Fool's day." Abby covered Haley's mouth.

"Silence," Abby snarled. "X is making his villain speech."

"However," X stated. "I brought my demon army, just in case." Suddenly, X's army arose from behind him. All the demons were different shapes and sizes. There seemed to be thousands of them.

"Well shit." Mark whispered.

"We're fucked." (Y/N) whispered. Abby drew her shot gun.

"I am ready to die for you Rebecca." Abby said.

"As am I." Carlos stated.

"For Morpheus!" The small army chanted. Rebecca looked around and smiled.

"I am ready to die for you guys." Rebecca said. The army cheered.

"Speech?" Haley asked.

"We're gonna go inside," Becca said. "We're gonna go outside, inside and outside. We're gonna get 'em on the run boys and once we get 'em on the run we're gonna keep 'em on the run. And then we're gonna go go go go go go and we're not gonna stop til we get across that goalline. This is a team they say is... is good, well I think we're better than them. They can't lick us, so what do you say men?" Everybody cheered.

"Isn't that from Rudy?" Abby asked.

"Yes." Rebecca said. "I find it inspirational." Abby shrugged. The army cheered.

"I AM NOT THROWING AWAY MY SHOT!" The crowd chanted. The demon army came closer. Both sides were ready. The battle began. Any witnesses will say that all they saw was a cloud of snow and the injured laying across the battle field.

Abby and Carlos were fighting about three dozen demons at once. One of the demons shot a poisonous arrow at Carlos, hitting him right in the chest.

"Carlos!" Abby shouted. Abby struck that demon down, then ran to her friend's side.

"Abby." Carlos sobbed. "I don't wanna die. Not now. I want to meet my baby girl. I promised Ana I will be there for her." Abby yanked the arrow out of him and applied pressure.

"I am not letting you die." Abby stated. "For you child's sake." Carlos began coughing.

"Abby." Carlos whispered. "Tell Ana I love her. Tell my daughter I'm sorry." Carlos took his last breath. Abby moved his eye lids down and sighed.

"Sleep well Carlos." Abby whispered. Abby grabbed her sword and swung like a maniac.

Haley and (Y/N) were tackling and ripping demons apart. Haley was swinging her swords around and slicing demons like they were butter. (Y/N) took (preferred pronoun) spear and stabbed ten demons at once.

"To my brother's revolutionary covenant," Haley sang. "I'm runnin' with the Sons of Liberty and I am lovin' it! See, that's what happens when you up against the ruffians
We in the shit now, somebody gotta shovel it! Hercules Mulligan, I need no introduction
When you knock me down I get the fuck back up again!"

"What is it with these final battles and you singing Hamilton?" (Y/N) asked.

"It pumps me up!" Haley shouted. "Left! Right! Hold! Go! What! What! What!" Haley stabbed demons as she chanted the lyrics. (Y/N) looked over as Abby dragged Carlos' body off the battle field. (Preferred pronoun) feared the worst. Abby ran back out and kept shooting demons.

Rebecca and X kept on fighting when ever one strikes, the other will block. What Rebecca didn't realize was that X had a plan up his sleeves.

"Well," X snarled. "You really are the daughter of Zeus, aren't you Rebecca." X struck his tail at Rebecca. The animator blocked the attack.

"And damn proud of it." Rebecca snarled back. She went for X's head. The demon blocked the attack.

"Oh dear cousin of mine." X snickered. "How I have waited for this day for almost 32 years. To finally see your dead body at my feet. However, you have proven to be a tough opponent in this universe. Let us find one where I can defeat you." Suddenly, a red neon orb flashed, catching the attention of everyone in the battle. The demons fled, while the Morpheus army questioned what has happened to their leader.

"Where's Rebecca?" Mark asked. Abby looked over at what remained of X's cloak. She walked over and picked it up. It was cool to the touch. Abby knew exactly what her demon is up to.

"X took her across the multi-verse." Abby said. "After we get home, I'm tracking her down."

"I'll come with you Abby!" (Y/N) shouted. Abby looked at her friend and sighed.

"Alright." Abby said. "However, we need to get Carlos to Michigan. Ana should be safe to come home. We'll have to break the news to her." (Y/N) nodded.

After telling Ana that her unborn daughter was without a father, the duo entered Toronto and went to a shack near Abby's work. In the shack, a large machine rested. After Abby pressed a few buttons, the machine booted up.

"Ready?" Abby asked.

"Ready." (Y/N) replied.
