Jeremy Montgomery↑

Reese was laying in bed with Blake on Christmas morning feeling completely happy.

They went a couple more rounds that night, including in the shower as they rinsed off. Now, Blake was sleeping soundly in his arms. The couple was covered in hickeys, Reese had faint scratches on his back an arms from Blake clinging to him. He traced a couple freckles Blake had on his shoulder, completely captivated by the sleeping man.

Blake's arms tightened around him, his eyebrows drawing together as he mumbled, "Ree..."

Reese smiled lovingly and kissed his forehead, "I'm right here," he whispered and saw Blake's eyebrows unfurrow.

It was peaceful until the doorbell rang.

Blake stirred awake, "huh?"

"Go back to bed, baby. I'll get the door."

Blake grumbled in his sleepy state, "pribly a delivieman..."

Reese got up, watching his lover snuggle under the blankets. He pulled on a pair of Blake's basketball shorts and yawned as he walked downstairs to answer the door which rang again followed by some knocking.

Opening the door, a blast of freezing air hitting Reese's bare torso and legs making goosebumps appear on his body. Standing at the door was a guy a couple inches shorter than himself with brown hair and green eyes.

Scratching his head, "how can I help you?" Reese asked awkwardly.

The young man looked puzzled for a second then realisation flashed across his features, "wait, Reese?"

Weird. "Do I know you?"

He grinned, "no, but I know you. N-not in a creepy way, I'm Jeremy Montgomery, people call me Monty, one of Blake's classmates. I saw your picture in Blake's binder."

Letting him inside and closing the door, it was pretty awkward. Reese had heard a bit about Jeremy from Blake. He had heard he was a friendly guy who was part of the student council. "Anything you need?"

"Oh, yeah. My mom made cookies, Blake mentioned he was staying home alone for Christmas and I wanted to bring Blake some and maybe spend some time with him."

A voice from the top of the stairs, "Reese, baby, who is it?"

"One of your classmates, Jeremy." Reese glanced at Jeremy who's eyes were wide and his mouth agape.

"Ah, shit," Blake said. A couple minutes later, Blake came down the stairs slowly. He limped a little, Reese felt his heart twinge with a little remorse for being so greedy with Blake's body. Blake wore one of his shirts and his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pyjama bottoms. "Hey, Monty, what are you doing here?"

Unable to form a sentence, he looked between the two and stammered something incoherent. When he could finally say something it was, "you— You're dating him?"

Blake and Reese exchanged a look, "Um, yeah. Remember how I told you my parents and I fought?" The green-eyed man nodded, "they found out I was dating Reese."

Reese stared at 'Monty' as he tried to assimilate to what he had just heard. "I don't get it, you said you had a girlfriend."

Blake clicked his tongue, "I said I was dating someone. I never said it was a girl. You got a problem with me now? Scared I'll pop your cherry?"

Looking confused, "no, why would I think that? I'm just surprised. You're gay?"

"Uh-huh," Blake nodded, "do you need me to spell it out?"

Monty shook his head, "no, I get it. Still adjusting, this is really the blond babe you've been dating for three years?"

"Yep."

Reese smirked, "I'm a 'babe'?"

Blake rolled his eyes, "you already know you are."

This seemed to short-circuit Monty's straight mind and Reese wanted to laugh at his expression. Instead of laughing, he kissed Blake's forehead and said, "I'll go make some breakfast. You want anything, Monty?"

"Huh? Oh, yeah, sure."

Reese left the two to talk about what was happening, making cheesy scrambled eggs and bacon with some toast and coffee. While cooking, Blake walked into the kitchen and sighed, Monty sat at the counter looking a little more level-headed.

Blake cut up pears and apples to go with breakfast and they word in harmony in the kitchen. "How did you two end up together?"

Reese glanced at Blake and laughed, "this guy over here bet me that he could get me to fall in love with him first."

"Did he?"

"Nope. I won." Blake nudged him with his elbow. "It was a close call though."

Monty ate a piece of pear, "your parents are okay with you two?"

Dishing up plates as Blake got forks, "yeah. My older brother goes both ways, he's dating our friend Gabe. My mom and dad are pretty open-minded."

Everyone sat down and Reese and Blake answered all of Monty's questions. He said it was his first time meeting a gay couple. It was pretty amusing, Reese wondered if this was how Blake felt when Gabe would come running to him to ask sex questions.

The cookies Monty brought were awesome. Reese's sweet tooth was well-sated with the bunches of colourful cookies. Sadly, Blake confiscated them before he could eat them all. Monty was a pretty neat dude. He stuck around for a while, hanging out and chatting with them. When his mom called him to come back was when he left, wishing them a happy Christmas as he left.

"He took it pretty well," Blake said.

"I accidentally told Dory when I was drunk," Reese said and saw Blake look over at him in alarm. "Don't worry, he thought it was a drunk's joke."

Blake let out a sigh of relief as they sat on the couch, turning on the telly. "How is everyone back home?"

"Nikki and Dory finally broke up. It was really loud and angry." Reese put his arm around Blake, sighing as his boyfriend snuggled into his side. Reese thought of the Christmas gift in his bag, wondering when to give it to him, a pair of simple silver rings, a gift idea given to him by his older brother. "Archie told me he wants to propose to Gabe—"

"But it isn't legal to get married."

Reese chuckled as Blake sulked, "it's legal in Amsterdam. Archie was talking about having an informal wedding for their family here then moving to the Netherlands to get married."

Blake smiled faintly, "sounds nice."

"Would you ever want to?"

Roused from his thoughts, "want to what?"

"Y'know...get married."

Looking at him with a smile, "to who?"

"Me, you dumbass."

Blake straddled him with a sly smile, "Reese Quincy Vaungh, did you just ask me to marry you?"

Reese felt his face burn and his heart stumble and he figured he must've felt how Monty felt when he found out they were gay. He couldn't form a sentence, let alone a thought, his first thought that could form was, "I think I did."

Laughing, "you think? Well, I think I'll accept."

Reese didn't know what was happening, only that he was the happiest he had been up to date. He couldn't believe he just unintentionally proposed to Blake on the couch while watching Family Feud.

Holy fucking shit.
