[END]

A month after returning, Blake and Reese moved into their own apartment.

Reese wiped away the sweat on his forehead as he brought in the last box. He looked over at Blake who was beginning to unpack their living room. They had cleaned the flat the day before and brought in all the big furniture.

He couldn't wait to spend their first night in their own home together. Reese couldn't help but stare at Blake, he turned and smiled at him making his heart stop and all other thoughts that didn't pertain to Blake disappear. God, he was in love with this man.

Blake started working at an office, helping set up campaigns for politicians. He studied political sciences in hopes of becoming a leading figure that could help legalise gay marriage in California. His lover was such a dreamboat.

Reese's classes began in the fall and he was currently working part-time at a sports shop. He wanted to hurry up and become a marine biologist to get a better job to help support him and Blake. Maybe throw a little ceremony on their anniversary to celebrate their partnership that was a few months short of four years.

His older brother and Gabe were preparing to move to the Netherlands. Gabe had applied to study English while Archie was going to be working as a T.A. in the religion department. Currently, they were learning German to help ready themselves for their new life in a new country as a married couple.

Dory had already left for London, leaving without hesitation. He really was fearless. He left with a couple suitcases and his camera. The pictures he'd shown every one of his new flat was actually quite scary. A small, closet-like room with a kitchenette and tiny bathroom, but Doria couldn't wait to get there.

Nikki was at Berkley, playing in protests and all her little activist activities that occupied her free time. Believe it or not, Monty decided to move to California and is currently dating Nikki, loving all her nutso-psycho quirks.

As for Blake's parents, he managed to talk occasionally with mother but his father pretended he didn't exist which led to Amelia not talking to him. By not accepting Blake, he loss both of his kids. It bothered Blake, but Reese couldn't do anything. He'd already tried to talk to Mr Pierce and even sent them holiday cards and invites but they never responded so all Reese could do was love Blake even more to keep him happy because if Blake was happy then Reese was happy.

Anyways, Blake and Reese worked to music as they quickly unpacked all the boxes. They were starting off with bare necessities and it was fun and frightening to start a life together, just the two of them but Reese was so fucking happy that he had been grinning for the past week.

He plucked a sucker from their candy jar on the counter and unwrapped it, it was peach flavoured and reminded Reese of when Blake had kissed him way back in freshman year. He walked over and pressed his lips to Blake's, slipping his tongue past his soft lips.

Blake pulled back, "Ew, peaches."

Reese smirked, leaning in for another kiss, "deal with it." Blake laughed before kissing him back.

This was happiness.

Pulling back and wrapping his arms around Blake's taught waist, "I love you, Blake."

Blake leant back against him and smiled, his hair tickling Reese's neck. "I love you too, Reese." They stared at their flat for a couple minutes, after all these years, they were living together as a couple. If you had asked Reese back in middle school when he had met Blake what he thought of it he would've laughed. After all that time, there they were at last.

Reese laughed internally and kissed the side of Blake's neck gently which made him giggle at the ticklish feeling. His hands snuck under the hem of his shirt, sliding up his warm, muscular skin. "I think we should break in our new mattress," Reese said in a flirty whisper in his ear.

Blake pressed his hips back against Reese's groin, "I couldn't agree more."

Reese picked Blake up "bridal-style" for the comedy of it, Blake cracked up with laughter as he wrapped his arms around Reese, clinging to him as Reese struggled a little because they were so close in size and carried his "bride" to their room, collapsing on the bed as the door slammed shut behind them with a kick.

This was the beginning of their future. Reese couldn't wait to build a life with his soulmate.
