Today, Yesterday, Tomorrow

(A/N: This was a poem I wrote about the first girl I fell in love with. She's the Camila to my Lauren. Anyways, I remember back in 2016 I had "No Way" on repeat for weeks! Although she and I wasn't physically together anymore during that time, the song reminds me of 'us' and our story.)

Today and yesterday but not tomorrow

Today and yesterday but not tomorrow

will I keep yearning in vain

Keep myself trapped in your shadow

enduring your issues and all this pain

Because today like yesterday I'm holding you near

And nothing else matters to me coz you're here

And even if I know tomorrow will come

I can't help myself, I refuse let you go at dawn

Today and yesterday but not tomorrow

will I cry for you again

Let myself be drowned in sorrow

when reminiscing the silly things we used to do back then

Because today and yesterday I loved you

And I know you loved me too

But there is no 'us' tomorrow, and we've ran out of try's

So all I can do is move on and wipe these tears from my eyes

Yesterday, but not today and definitely not tomorrow;

will I hold you again, kiss you and feel you like you are mine

I know I must keep my heart closed; keep it shallow,

So I can never be enticed by your lies, and I can really be fine

Now all I must do is lay down here entwined in your arms; waiting for dawn

Coz when you wake you'll be gone, and we know it, tomorrow has finally come.
