"How many of you can tell me what vibrato is?" Miss. Izumi Saito asked to a very silent and bored classroom. After a long moment of silence she decided to ask again "Does anybody know?"
"It's when your voice or an instrument has a slight variation in pitch which can produce better sounds"
The teacher looked up surprised that somebody answered. Everyone turned their heads and saw Sena Kizou the girl who excels at athletics and even music. Akina rolled her eyes while Asahi nudged her "she's good"
"It's like she's some sort of ace or whatever" she replied sarcastically
"Alright, thank you for that. I want you all to write all the notes on these sheet music that I'm handing out. There is no need to worry, these are all pretty simple so I'm sure you will get through this pretty quickly" Miss. Saito said as she passed around the sheets of paper.
As the sheets were handed to the students, everyone let out a huge sigh
"Miss! This isn't easy!" said one student
"There's a smiley face on mine!" said another
"There's a smiley face on all of ours" replied another unexcited student
"I don't want you to be able to play it. I want you to write the letter that each note is on. Understand?"
"This is elementary level music work" exclaimed Sena "I am a prodigy, I shouldn't need to do this baby level... thing"
Asahi glanced at it and immediately got dizzy "but... I don't even remember what we learned in class. What is this? Or this?!" dramatically pointing out basic notes
"A. F" Akina replied as she pointed. The bell rang out in the distance as the students immediately jumped out of their seats Asahi stared silently at the notes. Akina who had already packed her things ready to leave saw her sitting her there. Giving out a sigh she went to her.
"Of course the elementary level students must help one another" Sena commented before leaving the room
Akina shrugged as she sat beside Asahi again "here, what do you need help with?"
Asahi, almost crying replied "EVERYTHING!"
Akina almost jumped out of her seat and Miss. Saito who was about to leave glanced up in shock
"Oops. Sorry Miss!"
"That's alright, I am going to be around the school for a bit so if you do need help come find me"
The two girls nodded as their teacher left the classroom.
"I prefer her than our actual music teacher... She's nicer..." Asahi said
"Eh?"
"What? Miss. Saito is nice, pretty and even if nobody pays attention to her, she still does her job well. I wish students didn't treat her so badly, I heard she's only a part-timer."
Akina nodded silently "Well! Let's focus on what you need to know!" she took out the sheets from class that day and began to ask her basic words and their definitions
"What's a soprano? Surely you know that"
"One of those singing voices. Singing. When you sing. High."
"Mind saying that in a way I can actually understand" Akina laughed
"High. Singing. Female?" Asahi sighed "You get me right?"
"Sure sure whatever" Akina patted her back "It's the highest voice. From lowest to highest it's bass, tenor, alto and then soprano."
"Oh! Right! I got it but I just need to you know... get it" Asahi laughed
