Shadow watched from overhead. He was in complete amazement. The very people that were giving Deathstroke many of his problems just so happened to be his brother and adoptive father.
And apparently he had been much closer to his brother then he originally thought. He did just fight him a week ago after all. Which then brought back a memory. His brother actually pushed him off a roof!
He didn't come out quite yet. He watched from afar as his brother donned on his hero outfit and mask, becoming Robin.
Robin.
How did he not see that before? Just as his name of Shadow, Dick had kept a part of his past as well in his hero name. Though Danny kept his a little less obvious.
Once in disguise, Robin jumped on his 'R' cycle, as dubbed by him. And sped out of the cave. Shadow trailing not to far behind from above and out of sight. He had to keep an eye on his brother now. Luckily he still had over an hour before he was expected back at the apartment.
Shadow stayed out of sight as Robin parked his bike in a back alley before grappling up to the rooftop.
Shadow looked out to where Robin was currently looking, trying to find out why he had to come in such a rush.
A sudden explosion made the answer known.
'Joker.' Shadow thought. He must have gotten out.
Robin grappled and flitted across the rooftops in the direction of the explosion.
When getting to his location, he found the reason for why he was called. Through the window of an abandoned warehouse, he saw Batman tied upside down and hanging over a swimming pool filled with a few sharks. And civilians were there, tied up as well.
He grappled down, landing on the roof of the building. Robin made his way into the building, hiding in the rafters to look an angle that he could use to take Joker by surprise.
That didn't happen though as he was greeted by a mallet to the back. Robin started to plunge to the ground. He pulled out the grappling hook and managed to catch himself just in time. He swung to ground, several feet away from Joker.
"Look, a little bird that thinks he's ready to fly on his own. I think you need to wait for your clipped wings to grow back, bird boy."
A small, like, very small version of Joker came out from behind him. He had a mallet that used to belong to Harley Quinn in his hands.
He looked at the clown, something about him seemingly familiar to him.
"Appears so, Gaggy." Joker laughed.
'Gaggy?' He thought. 'That's it!'
Gaggy used to be a tightrope walker at Haley's Circus, then his parents came into the act. He was fired from his job before Dick was ever born. Apparently the guy went nuts and tried blowing up the place. Joker had a good laugh about it and Gaggy became his sidekick way before Harley Quinn was in the picture.
'I guess he came back for round two since Harley left Joker.' Dick figured.
Joker and Gaggy both ran at Robin with a knife and the mallet.
Robin dodged hit after hit. He attempted to deliver a few blows of his own with his bow staff.
Robin ducked under the knife Joker aimed at his head. He weaved to the side from the mallet. He jumped and back flipped out of the way from another, only to be slammed to the side by a very clean hit off from the mallet.
The boy wonder was knocked off his feet and thrown to the side. The Joker didn't waste any time in dancing his way over and looking down at his new prey with a wide grin.
