Last Of It's Kind

Chapter Four - Cass

I watched Junux as she ate the lasagne I had made her. She ate it like she had never seen it before. At first she seemed kinda scared of it and pushed it around the plate a bit before nibbling a bit of it and then quickly shoving it into her mouth.
Once she had finished, Junux put the cutlery down onto the plate and asked, "what are we gonna do now?"
I shrugged and said, "I guess we need to look for some more food as the supply is running low,"
Junux nodded and stood up.

"Is this okay?" Junux yelled as she held up a tinned can.
"Tins are good!" I yelled back for the fourth time today.
We were wandering around the supermarket to see what was left over since most of the good stuff got taken after the first few disasters.
Suddenly, there was a loud crash that came from Junux's direction that was then followed by a harsh whisper.
"Junux!" I yelled, "Is everything okay over there?"
There was a short pause before she yelled back, "Yeah, I'm fine!"
She really didn't sound fine though. So I pulled my shopping trolley that bad a few items of food towards Junux's general direction.
Once I was nearer, I could hear the whispers a bit better.
"Myree, you've gotta leave. Everyone has to." Junux said.
"No. Why would we? Our parents spent millions of units on this trip and that was for us to learn about Earth and Human culture." Another voice replied. Another person?
"It's just that.." Junux said.
"What? It's just what?" The other voice said.
Junux muttered something in response.
"What? Speak up!" The voice said.
"There's still a Human here!" Junux said a lot louder than before.
Whilst they were still talking, I tried to get closer to see what was happening. But I ended up tripping over nothing and falling into Junux. My face close to hers.
"Um, hi?" I said.
I hate myself so much.
