The door swung open to reveal Luna. Wasn't she supposed to be on the East Coast? She looked like she hadn't slept in days. There were bags under her eyes and her face was puffy. She ushered me inside. "Oh Jae, thank god you're here! I know Calix has probably been ignoring you but he does that when something bad happens," I could tell something was wrong by the tone of her voice. She was talking quietly and her voice held a mix of emotions. "I know this is a bad plan and you're probably mad at him but he needs you right now, I know something is going on with you guys, if you would just go up there and see him I think it'd make him a lot better." She ranted explaining everything in such a rush I didn't even know what she was saying anymore.
I cut her off, "I'll go see him." I said simply and she sagged in relief.
"Oh thank you so much!" She said trying not to talk too loud. I nodded and waved at her before going quietly up the stairs. I didn't know what happened but it was clearly important and I didn't want to disturb the peace of the house.
I walked to the end of the hall and knocked once on his door. I heard a quiet, "come in." I opened the door slowly and closed it behind me. I paused to take him in. His hair was messy, his clothes wrinkled, he was sitting at the end of his bed with his head in his hands. He hadn't even looked up yet. I just took off my shoes and quietly padded over to where he was sitting. I dropped to my knees and grabbed his hands to pull them down. He looked up at me with surprise on his face. He had stubble around his face. His eyes had bags too and they were red from crying, his face was puffy but he still looked beautiful. I gave him a soft smile. "I'm sorry." He said and a tear rolled down his cheek.
"What happened?" I asked softly. He looked down.
"My dad died." My eyes widened in surprise, here I had been, pissed that he hadn't answered my stupid texts when his dad had just died. I am so selfish.
"I'm sorry, I know that's a lame thing to say but I am." I whispered. He looked back up at me.
"No I'm sorry, I completely ignored you, I didn't want to bring you into it and I know I don't deserve you—" I cut him off.
"I missed you," He softened in response. He grabbed me and sat me on his lap wrapping his arms around me. Holding me tight. I kissed him lightly and he pressed back hungrily. As if starved of me and my presence.
He pulled back "Stay with me, please?" He asked desperately. I nodded and gave him a soft smile. He smiled back and we moved up his bed where we faced each other. Our foreheads pressed against each other. Just being close. Which is exactly how we fell asleep.

I woke up around eleven at the sound of the door opening. Calix was wrapped around me with his head nestled into my neck. I looked up and Luna was standing there with her hands clasped together in front of her chest as if holding her heart and she smiled then pumped her fist, excited. Calix stirred and looked up. "Go away," he told her and she pouted.
"Fine I was just going to ask Jae if she was spending the night." She smirked. I looked down at Calix and he was nodding his head enthusiastically. I gave a soft laugh.
"I guess so I just need to text my parents to let them know." I pulled out my phone to text my mom. Luna nodded, smiled then left, shutting the door behind her. I shot my mom a text and she replied immediately,
Alright hun, I'm at work still, be safe :)
I rolled my eyes then turned to put my phone on the bedside table. Calix groaned. "You'll be fine without me for two minutes," I replied and got up to rummage around his dresser.
"I really won't, now what are you doing?" He asked, I pulled out one of his t-shirts.
I held it up and smiled. "There's no way I'm sleeping in jeans, sorry." I walked over to his bathroom and shut the door. I changed quickly then jumped back in bed. Calix laughed.
"That is way too big for you." He was smiling though. I needed him to do more of that.
I shrugged, "I know but I'm trying to be comfortable." I replied and his eyes raked over me hungrily. I blushed. "It's late, let's go to sleep." I suggested and got under the blankets. I scooted a little closer to him and he opened his arms. I snuggled up to him and rested my head in the hollow of his neck. He smelled so good. Citrus and smoke. I smiled happily, this is what I had been missing. He held me close and we fell asleep, tangled together.

I woke up the next morning, the most well rested I'd been in quite a while. I opened my eyes and looked around. Calix was no where to be found. I woke up a little more then realized I heard the shower running. Good, he was bathing. I closed my eyes and drifted back to sleep.
I woke up when I felt the bed dip on the opposite side of me. I stirred and turned over to face Calix. I gave him a sleepy smile and he gave me one back looking deep into my eyes. He had shaved and he no longer looked like he hadn't slept in a week, I mean he didn't look perfect or anything but definitely an improvement. He looked like he was trying.
"Wanna get some breakfast?" He asked softly. I nodded with a lazy smile. I sat up and rubbed the sleep from my eyes. I threw my legs over the side of the bed and got up, stretching. It was then I realized what I was wearing. Just one of Calix's t-shirts, and here I was stretching my arms up as high as I could get them. I quickly put them back down and turned to face Calix, I caught him staring and he quickly diverted his gaze, his cheeks warming. I laughed a little then found my clothes from yesterday, I just slipped on my jeans and kept his shirt on. I planned on keeping it, it smelled like him and reminded me of him. I gave Calix a bright smile and turned to walk out the door.
Calix grabbed my hand to stop me from reaching the door. He turned me to face him and I threw my arms around his neck and just said, "hi," he laughed and leaned down to give me a kiss full of passion. I returned it hungrily. My stomach rumbled and we pulled apart laughing.
"You better feed that thing," he teased and I rolled my eyes then turned and walked out the door. He caught up to me quickly and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.
"Just can't get enough of me can ya?" I asked and looked up at him.
He smirked, "I was deprived of you for almost a whole week so I'm just making up for lost time." I smiled.
We walked into the kitchen and Calix turned on the radio, pop music playing softly throughout the room. We had just started making pancakes when I heard someone say, "and who might you be?" From behind me.—————
