Chapter 6- The Birthday Party

Joe POV
When I woke up on the morning of the 8th, I immediately took out my vlogging camera and filmed an intro explaining about how it was my birthday and Strictly day 1. I heard a knock on my door, and so went to answer it to find Zoë and Alfie stood there carrying bags and boxes as if they were staying for a week. I ushered them in and hugged them both, before we got about setting up the party with my neighbour G.

Once all the balloons were up people started to arrive and before I knew it the party was in full swing. I hadn't told Zoë and Alfie who my dance partner was, so when I spotted a bright red movement through my peep hole, I knew that it was finally time for the introduction. I let her in, and the first thing I noticed was her incredible outfit, consisting of some black jeans and golden bomber jacket that complimented her red locks perfectly- I must say, she looked stunning.

Dianne POV

Joe immediately grabbed my hand and pulled me over to a girl who I recognised as being his sister.

'Hi, you must be Zoe? I'm Dianne, Joes dance partner'. Her and the boy standing next her, who I believed to be her boyfriend, shared a quick glance before introducing herself as well.

The rest of that night was pretty much a blur, between the shots and the constantly refilled red cups, the last thing I remember was waking up next to Amy at her place the next morning, with head feeling like a ton of bricks had been dropped on it from a 10 storey building and a text from Joe saying 'you can party hard 🥳, hope u got home okay x see you on Monday partner 😱'

Just as I collapsed onto the bed, Amy came out of the bathroom and perched next to me, phone in hand. She didn't say a word, she just showed me Instagram stories of me dancing with Joe... drunk. We were grinding and dad dancing and in the end I had to push her phone away in shame.
