Chapter 20- I've never seen him this happy

Dianne POV
I woke up the next morning with Joe still sleeping soundly next to me, so I picked myself up and showered before 9 'o' clock. I could hear Zoe vlogging so I knew she was awake.
'Morning Zoe' I said sleepily as I sat down on the sofa in the living room.
'Morning Di. Did you sleep well?'
'Yeah it was so comfy! Joes still asleep though, didn't want to wake him.'
'Aw. You know, I've never seen him like this before.' She had turned her camera off, and was hugging a pillow, with an excited look spread across her face.
'Like what?'
'So happy. Since you two have been together, there's always a smile on his face.'
'Well he's done the same to me. He makes me so happy, I guess we just have that affect on each other.'
'Well, it's lovely.' She said, just as Joe meandered into the room and slouched next to me.
'How can you get up so early willingly?' He slurred, clearly still half asleep.
'I've got up this early for dance rehearsals my whole life. I'm pretty used to it.' I answered, kissing him on the forehead as Alfie came into the room, already dressed and showered.
We ate breakfast and got ready, before leaving the treehouse for the beach.
Joe POV
The walk to the beach was about 20 minutes, and very beautiful, me and Di stopping to take pictures every now and then. When we got to the beach, the first thing we were greeted with was a large gust of wind that blew Dianne off her feet, falling straight on to her back.
'Oh my gosh, are you okay?' I said through tears of laughter, trying to fight back the wind to grab her hand and pull her up.
'Yeah I'm good. This is a bit different to the beach in Australia though!'
'Welcome to the UK!' I responded, taking her hand so we could attempt to walk along the beach. We stayed on the sand for a little while, before heading back to the resort, as I had booked massages for Di and I.

Time skip to at the spa

Dianne POV
'Hi, I've got a couples hot stone massage booked in the name of Sugg.'
'Yes of course, right this way.'
We made our way through a large wooden hut before entering a cute little room, with zen music on quietly in the background.
'Hello, Mr Sugg, my name is Rose and this is Kayla, we will be your masseuse's for today. If you'd like to make your way into the room next door to change and come back in here when your ready.'
We thanked her, and went into a small changing room. We changed in a comfortable silence, before heading back in and laying face down on two different beds. They began the treatment, and felt joe take my hand from the bed next to me. I accepted, and we had the rest of the treatment, smiling at each other from opposite sides of the room, and making the odd stupid face, trying not to laugh at one another. This was the life I had wanted since I was a young girl, and my dream had become a reality.
Joe POV
The treatment lasted about an hour, before we met up with Zoe and Alfie in the outdoor hot tub. We had some fun, me picking Dianne up out the tub and in to the cold, before we sat on the side relaxing in the bubbles. Dianne swam up to me and sat on my lap, wrapping her arms around my neck, and kissing me sweetly. It's moments like this that I had wanted to share with somebody for so long. I tickled her sides mercilessly, and she punched me playfully in the arm.
'Stop it, Mr! This is not relaxing!' I was laughing at her, but secretly felt bad, m so stopped, exiting the tub with her by my side.

Other than Zoe catching me and Di kissing in the back seat, the rest of the evening went pretty smoothly, with me and Di teaching the others how to dance, and doing some cute duets in karaoke, or kazza as Di called it. I pulled her close to me, both of us tucked up in bed, and kissed her cheek, sending us both off into deep sleeps. Perfection.
The days when the Chewton Glen vlogs were the only content we had 😂
Not the best, but I've had a busy few days so I was working quite late at night! Thanks again for all the support and for 4.5K reads, I'm thinking of skipping to New Year (when Dianne came back from Australia) because I'm not sure how it's going to work when she's not there. Also, once I hit present day, I'm going to start 'making it up' so I can include some of my own ideas rather than just what's happening, as I've got an idea for a proposal etc :)
