Chapter 24- I'm so happy I met you

Joe POV
'Rise and shine' I whispered into the sleeping beauty's ear before getting up and pulling open the curtains, earning a groan from across the room.
'Uggghh, it's too early, I'm blind!'
'Di, it's 12:30.'
'Really?! Oh. Better get up then.' I laughed slightly, and went to make two coffees, us both getting dressed as we sipped on them, making light conversation. By 1:30, we had left to walk to go see my Nan and Grandad.
The walk was beautiful and Di was genuinely amazed by all the little county lanes and animals we saw, stopping for pictures at each one. It took us around half an hour, but when we got there it made it all worth it by the looks on their faces when they saw us- I had kept it a surprise.
'Oh my gosh, Joseph!' My nan said pulling me into a tight hug.
'Hi Nan, it's so good to see you. As you can see I brought a special guest.' I pointed at Dianne, and she walked forward smiling, my Nan pulling her into a hug before I could.
'Oh, Dianne, you were so amazing on Strictly, I'm so happy Joes got someone like you.' I smiled to myself at my family's approval.
'Aww, thanks, I've heard so much about you.'
'You must come through and see Grandad, he'll be delighted!' We walked through the porch to the living room, where my Grandad was reading a newspaper.
'Look who's here!' My Nan said, pointing to us. He smiled widely, and both me and Dianne went down to hug him. We stayed chatting to them for a while, catching up and talking about Strictly, and ended up leaving at around 5, taking a slow stroll back. We stopped for a while at a cute bridge over a lake, looking out at the setting sun.
'I'm so happy I met you.' Dianne said as she linked her arm with mine and rested her head on my shoulder.
'You and me both.'
'No really. You've shown me what love is, your the missing piece I needed to make me a whole. You have everything I could have ever wanted.' I leant down to kiss her forehead.
'Di, you changed my life. I've never had a girlfriend, let alone be in love, and I never thought Strictly would change my life like it did, and that was all thanks to you. I love you, but I'm also freezing so can we continue the compliments back at the cottage!'
'Yes please, my fingers are numb!'
Back at the cottage
Dianne POV
When we arrived back, Joe quickly went through and lit the fire, whilst I went upstairs to put on some pyjamas, Joe coming up halfway through me changing.
'Fires lit, it's already starting to warm up.'
'Good it's bloody freezing!'
'Agreed. Right I'm gonna get changed.'
We put on our comfy clothes and went downstairs, snuggling in front of the fire. 
'Do we have to leave tomorrow? I love it here, with you.'
'I wish we could stay, but we need some relaxation before tour rehearsals start.'
'I guess.' I let out a faint sigh. 'So, if we've been to your hometown, when can we go to Bunbury?'
'Summer? After your tour?'
'Sounds good. Are you gonna come on the cruise?'
'Of course. Jack and Rose rewritten.' I smiled to myself, and kissed him gently, nuzzling my head into his neck, his soft hair brushing my ear. Before I knew it, we were both drifting off to sleep on the sofa.
'We should probably go to bed.' Joe said half asleep, 'We can't leave the fire on.' We pulled ourselves up, Joe turning off the fire, and retreated to bed, settling down ready to leave in the morning. I felt Joes hand on my hip, the safety of his presence sending me into a peaceful sleep, with Joe following soon after.
