Part 2- Chapter 14- Surprise!

AJ POV
What had I done? I'd just lied and put the whole plan in jeopardy.
'Yeah mate I'm back. I've just made a stupid mistake. Joe saw me so I told him that I was talking to her dad and now he's helping me. I can't keep covering up for you Ant.' That's right.
Joe POV
Strangely, I hadn't even thought about getting Dis family over for the wedding until AJ mentioned it, but I was super excited to help. But first, the matter of Dianne. I walked back the way I came but stopped when I traced my footsteps past the alley, noticing a blob of red leant up against a bin. I rushed down there, and crouched next to her.
'Hey'
No reply
'Look I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you. I love you.'
She looked up and her eyes met mine.
'I know you do. And I love you too. You just have to accept that I'm scared and I'm not getting over that anytime soon, Okay?'
'I know, I get it. We good?' She leant in and kissed me deeply.
'We're good.' After that, we left the party, and went back to our place. When we got there, we shocked to see the door swing open.
'Umm Joe?'
'I don't know either. Stay close.' She stood behind me, crouching slightly so her eyes were at the middle of my back. Slowly, I made my way into the apartment. It was all dark.
'SURPRISE!' We both jumped out of our skin as the lights switched on, shining down on my mum, dad, Zoe, Alfie, as well as Dis parents and siblings. She clasped her hands to her mouth and pulled Rina into a large embrace, crying into her shoulder.
'Well AJ told me you were coming I didn't think it would be this soon!'
'Who's AJ?'
'The guy who brought you here?'
'No, Zoe and Alfie brought us here. Who's AJ?'
What was he up to?
